The TAE40110 will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake training

Achievement of this qualification is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training

early 2009 and commissioned in early 2010.
The facility and expertise is provided through ASTs sister company M&O Indonesia an
international specialist in Offshore Safety Training.
The facility is a significant increase in our capability and enables us to cater for a wider
range of training for Oil & Gas clients in SE Asia.

TRAINING IN WEST IRIAN JAYA PT FREEPORT INDONESIA
Australia Skills Training recently delivered its first training course (Advanced Rigging)
for PT Freeport in Indonesia. The Grasberg mine as it is known is one of the largest
gold and copper mining operations in the world. Located 4000m above sea level in
the rugged mountains of Irian Jaya (West Papua), the operation is complicated by
high rainfall, steep slopes and security issues. The mine employs over 20,000 people
and is the largest tax payer to the Indonesia government

TRAINING IN INDIA
AST Trainer Ric Thomson completed a program of training in Jharkhand province in
India this month. The training was conducted at a Cement Plant owned and operated
by French company Lafarge. In total, 120 persons received training in Height Safety
with an additional group of site personnel completing training in scaffold erection.
The training was aimed at improving awareness of height safety issues and
implementing controls to work safely at height.

Lafarge Cement Plant Re-Construction in Banda Aceh, Indonesia

AST is currently providing a scaffolding team in partnership with the Kaefer Group to
erect complex scaffolds at the plant. The requirement came about due to a lack of
expertise is this area and the companies insistence that these tasks be carried out by
qualified personnel.
Under the supervision of AST Consultants a team of 10 scaffolders are onsite erecting
scaffolds to enable external insulation and internal refractory bricks to be installed
safely.
