COURSE DESCRIPTION
The competitive pressures are increasingly becorning high not just within the boundaries of individual
organisations but in a multiple-companies environment where an integrated network of cornpanies or a
network of business entities are involved in the value-addition of a single end product (from the source of
raw materials to the end customers). This course will provide the insights on managing the flow of
materials, flow of information and flow of cash efficiently and effectively in a multiple-compairies
environment. The elements of supply-chains such as, capacity management, inventory managemeut and
procurement management which have been already studied before in courses such as rnarketing and
operations management will be discussed to integrate the elements and perspectives to develop a broad
understanding of how to malage an Inventory.
