Abstract
"The planet earth has a natural system of absorption of heat which it absorbs from the sunlight. By
naturally it also has the function to balancing and release the over heat. For many past years, it has
been noticed that the balance of heat seems to be under threat. The major cause of imbalance
function is due to the rapid increase in gases such as Carbon-Dioxide, Methane, Nitrous Oxide etc".
In last couple of years, a drastic change in the climate and resource scarcity alterations has been
noticed by the experts. Ongoing research of scientists reveals that the changes in the environment
are mainly due to the emission of carbon pollution and greenhouse gases.
The concern of carbon pollution not only with global warming but it is also very harmful for the ozone
layers. Canada is one of the major example among other country where global warming has affected
its climate and forestry in both positive and negative way. However, the positive impacts are fewer
than the negative effects. The Govt of Canada has been taking a serious concern to mitigate the
maximum negative effects to control over the global warming that may positively leads to economic
growth, soil, forestry and good environment.

Introduction
Global warming is one of the widest term 'Climate change'. Global warming occurs when the average
temperature of the earth's surface air increases. By World Almanac (2000), effects from the
population, CO2 and greenhouse are the main cause to affect the environment. For the hot climate
changes, carbon pollutions are the main root. In Canada, it is crystal clear evidence that global
warming has rapidly changed the temperature and drastic changed the environment, says Leahy
(2010). According to Roseland and Hendrickson (2005) Canada is well dominated as the highest
carbon polluters among other countries in the world, next to the United States.
Since the last decade, in Canada the emissions have been risen more than 30% (Leahy, 2010). The
affects of the emissions directly contribute may long lasting damage the global warming on climate
and Canadian soil. "In Canada, it is noticed by the researchers that mostly of its cities annually
produce about 20 tons of carbon dioxide per capita. It helps Canada to place itself among top three
nations in terms of per capita contributions to potential climate changes (Roseland and Hendrickson,
2005)".

Research Objectives
Changes in the Earth's climate is not only due to the external forces include variation in its orbit
around the sun, changes in the solar luminosity but also include internal forces such as volcanic
eruptions and emission of greenhouse and carbon dioxide gases. In the field of research, scientific
consensus is that "as compare to the industrial revolution, human activities are increasingly damaging
the atmosphere by the production of greenhouse and carbon dioxide gases. The objective of this
study is to highlight the appropriate measures of the Govt of Canada to control over global warming.
In order to maintain better and stable the environment, all human beings need to work together and
reduce the emission of toxic gases that killings our atmosphere. The prospects will be harder for the
humanity to grow and grow enough food, transport and energy for the 9 billion human who are likely
to be live in fifty years. "It is predict that for the stability of the environment developed and developing
countries will alike to seek strenuously to reduce the activities that leads to greenhouse gases
(Northcott, 2007)".
The main objective of this research is obtain on two sub-objectives

To identify the challenges of global warming in Canada

To indentify the future strategic plan of Govt of Canada to facilitate the public and stability of
environment.

Literature Review
A literature review is systematic approach and criteria to examine the available knowledge on a
chosen topic. Literature review is processed by the researcher in order to examine the available
scholarly information with a goal to accurately produce and represent the new information
(Dawidowicz, 2010 & Oliver, 2012). Our aim of presenting this literature review is to deeply examine
the past research theories that have been made on 'Global Warming'. On the basis on these theories
we will highlight the counter arguments and debates of different scholars. There are many negative
impacts of global warming that are brutally affecting the Canada's forest environment , social life and
technology sectors.
The rising temperature not only harmful for the human but also for the forest or wildlife sector. It has
noticed that over the past six decades, the temperature in Canada has warmed by 1.4 Celsius
(Whitgott et al, 2010). Canada forest industry is very wide and the impact of global warming on this
sector is very significant. According to Volney (2000) the Govt of Canada have not produced any
significant measure to protect the forestry industry but the Govt is pressurised by scientists and
individuals who are in favour of the idea to maintain and protect wilderness. The effect on Canada's
forest gets more harsh since the climate became more extreme and unfavourable.
The extreme change in climate increase the chances of fires in forest and habitat destruction.
However, Wien and Hogg (2005) demonstrated that "although the fire in forest is essential to maintain
the diversity of an ecosystem but many recent fire incidents are caused by unnatural consequences"
In "changing Ecosystems", Dr Julie mentioned in her research conducted at Western Washington
University on the Pacific Ocean that due to the global warming the ocean globally also follow a warmand-cool cycle and some of them have become warmer while in recent year the Pacific Ocean has
begun to cool down.
The impact is not limited till forest but the wildlife and marine life too. Do due to the hot weather many
animals are being affected and study about the behaviour pattern of these animals reveals that these
animals are shifting towards north or higher altitudes. Furthermore, global warming has been leading
to different diseases such as Ebola, Hanta and Machupo virus owing to warmer climates (Lundy,
2008). The distribution of mosquitoes is being increase owing to the increase in humidity level. Human
will need to shift in a better ground because a disease easily spreads in a hot environment while the
cool weather kills germs. On the other hand, heat waves and respiratory ailments are due to the air
pollution. The true fact of global warming is that more than 2500 people died in India during 1998 just
due to hear stroke (Bohn, 1995).

On the contrary, global warming has its own significant positive impacts. By Tol (2007) hot weather
leads to higher wind speed in mid-latitude and it allows to produce more energy by wind power plant.
With reduce ice glaciers in the Arctic, there are more chances of accessibility to harbours and less
cost of extraction of oil and other minerals. The change in climate also invite the foreigners tourist in
Canada towards the poles and mountains. Through this Canada tourism agency also increases the
revenue for Canada. There is also a positive sign of global warming that tropical birds such as
Bobwhite, fishes and vascular plants are adapted to the high temperature and the presence of them is
a positive sign of global warming (Lundy, 2008).
However, there are number of positive signs of global warming but negative effects are more harsh
and requires close attention in order to save the further damages or other species. There are some
merits (strengths & opportunities) and demerits (Weaknesses & Threats) of the global warming.

Research Methodology
'Research Methodology' is a process which is adopt by the researcher to collected the data or
information for the selected objectives of a particular issue. There are five kinds of research strategies
that defined by Yin (2009) include "experiment, survey, archival analysis, history and case study". For
the research on global warming issue, Govt should need to adopt questionnaire survey strategy. The
reason of choosing this strategy is that it will purely focus on the different factors that cause the global
warming. By Denseombe (2007) this strategy allows the researcher to get the quick feedbacks from
the selected respondents. Questionnaire survey is the most famous research strategy that widely use
in quantitative research method to collect the primary data.
There are two kinds of research method "Qualitative and Quantitative". Govt should need to use the
quantitative research method because this method allows the researcher to use different kinds of
mathematic and statistical tools such as t-test, median and standard deviation etc to collect and
present figure and hypotheses. By Keegan (2009) this method facilitate the researcher to focus on the
larger population and useful for the project which contains two different variables (dependent and
independent). There are two types of data "Primary and Secondary". Govt should need to collect
primary data by conducting questionnaire survey with NGO's and contractors and local communities
etc.
By Wiid & Diggines (2010) the purpose of collect the primary data is to accurately focus on the main
research questions instead of relay on existing data. For the collection of secondary data, Govt can
take review the present and historical debate and research that have been done on global warming.
For the nature of this research, Govt should need to evaluate the impact of independent variable
(CO2, Toxis and Green House gases) on the dependent variable (Global Warming). By this method,
Govt will be able to find and draw conclusion of the impact of independent variable on dependent
variable.
By Saunders et al (2009) for the successful research it is very important to select the representative
sampling techniques. A good sampling techniques not only save the time but improve the efficiency of
research. Govt should need to random sampling techniques as compare to non-random sampling.
The benefit of random sampling is that it targets to the wide range of population. For this research,
Govt should need to use some statistical tools such as 'Regression Analysis, R-Square, T-Test and
the reading of Coefficient'. The regression analysis will help the Govt to accurately examine the
impact of independent variables on dependent variable. For the purpose of collection data from
NGO's, local communities and policy makers etc, Govt will need to follow the research ethic such as
"written consent, informed consent, debriefing, right to withdraw and confidentiality and anonymity".

All races human should act now. we do only act when anything becomes critical, out of control or on
the edge. Something must be done right now because global warming affects are destroying us and
we reach the edge. It's not only the Govt that needs to tackle this problem but its a problem for all. we
should need to control by motivating ourselves and participate with the Govt too. Now there are
number of solutions through that we can stop or minimize the global warming to keep safe our planet
'Earth'. However we both (public and governments) need to move forward to implement and reform
such solutions that can reduce the contribution of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. For this we
all need to less use of gasoline and electricity in our everyday life and move on the alternative
facilities.
For example, to reduce the gasoline mean Govt have to widely introduce its alternative that is 'Hybrid'
technology. A car made by hybrid technology is petrol free or reduce the less gasoline. Beside this, it
is not only reduce the pollution but also keep you away from the rising prices of petrol now and in
future. If we analysis the business life of a person who works in an office and everyday he drives to
work they need to pump petrol after 3 days and causes carbon dioxide. Another way to reduce the
consumption of gasoline is to take carpool or available public transport (bus or train). It will not only
reduce the emission of carbon dioxide but also save cost.
Recycling is another way to control over global warming. Through recycling, plastic bags, glasses,
papers and mettles can reuse or reshape and it also helpful to reduces the garbage. Something we
can change and do by ourselves. For example, Govt needs to push the public to use their own
containers instead of using plastic shopping bags and after finish drinking water reuse the bottle. By
adopting such small and simple measures Govt can maximum save the environment. Govt should
also need to plant more tree that will help to improve the temperature on earth. Last but not least, we
should need to turn off the extra light because it saves cost and energy. We should need to stop
burning the garbage and plastic things because it will release carbon dioxide and toxic.
