-Have Ss to make a list about what kinds of events do


they mark in their Calendar. Then have them listen and
say the months and the days of the months, ask them
When is your birthday? And have them circle the month
and the day, then have them tell the class using the
examples in the book.

events on their calendar, then have them work in pairs,
role playing the conversation, at the end have Ss circle or

about the future. Explain the form of Future with going
to; placing visuals In the Classroom, in statements, in Yes
No Questions, and in Information Questions. Explain to
Ss the USE, that we use Be going to to talk about
personal plans and intentions, especially when a person
has already made a decision to do something.

Explain that we use Be going to when we make


predictions about future actions or events, especially
when the person has reasons or evidence to predict
them.
The chart shows the word order for sentences with two
objects, a DO and IO, explain that in the sentence Im
going to buy my mother a necklace the IO comes first,
and that the IO is often the name of the person who
receives the action explained by the verb. The person
receiving the action can come after the DO, but a
preposition is used in this case. The Object pronouns are

question using going to in the third column, when
everyone has finished writing their follow-up questions,
divide the Ss into pairs, ss then ask their partner the
questions in the worksheet, when a partner answer Yes I
am the Ss checks next to the question and aks the follow
up question. If a partner answers No, Im not the students
puts an X and moves on to the next question, when the
Ss have finished interviewing they tell the class about
their future Plans.
