TASK 01
1.1 Select two organizations of your choice in service and manufacturing sectors and identify
their respective organizational structures and the cultures. Compare and contrast
organizational structures and cultures with theories you have learnt. (LO 1.1)
1.2 Explain the impact of existing organizational structure and the culture towards the
performance of a business of your choice.(LO 1.2)
1.3 Individuals have different behaviors and the way they react would be different in certain
situations. Imagine you are a management trainee in one of the organizations, and if you
face a situation where you have to make a decision related to a specialized order which
you have not handled before. Discuss the factors that you think would influence your
behavior with that situation as an individual.( LO 1.3)

2.1 Different leadership styles can be seen in practice in varying organizational contexts.
Select three organizations from different business sectors and compare the effectiveness of
different leadership styles if applied in selected organizational contexts. (LO 2.1)
2.2Explain how the organizational theories underpin the management practices related to the
organizations you have selected for the above task. (LO 2.2)
2.3Evaluate the different approaches to management used by the organizations that you have
selected for the task 2.1(LO 2.3)

TASK 03
3.1 Organizations are using different types of leadership styles in order to motivate the
employees. Discuss the impact of different leadership styles may have on motivation of the
employees in periods of change for the selected organizations. (LO 3.1)
3.2 There are many ways to motivate employees according to the situation. Compare the
application of different motivational theories which can be applied by the management
within an organizations in different scenarios (LO 3.2)
3.3 Assume you are a management trainee in one of the organizations that you have selected.
Evaluate the usefulness of explained motivational theories in Task 3.2 for you as a future
manager.(LO 3.3)
