A Copy of [illegible] and Testament of Gideon Warren [illegible] Re[-?-] In the name of God Amen I Gideon
Warren of H[ampton?] in the County of Washington and State of New York consider the uncertainty of this mortal
life and being of sound [and?] perfect mind, blessed be almighty God for the [-?-] do make & publish this my last
will and Testament in manner & form following; that is to say—First I give and bequeath unto my son Comfort
(who is insane) such time as shall make a reason-able support which shall be finished at the discretion of my
Executors herein after named and shall be paid annually on the order of my said Executors during the natural life
of the said Comfort I also give and bequeath to my son David B. Warren the sum of twenty pounds to be paid
within one year after my decease I also give and bequeath to my son Caleb Warren the sum of ten shillings; I also
give and bequeath to my son Asa Warren the sum of ten shillings; I also give & bequeath to my son Ebenezer
Warren the sum of ten shillings; I also give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Raynolds the sum of ten shillings; I
also give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Webster ten shilling; I also give and bequeath to my daughter
Elizabeth Webster twenty two pounds, one shilling and six pence; I also give and bequeath to the Heirs of my
daughter Phebe Sharp (viz) Frederick Sharp and Phebe Sharp the sum of five pounds each:-- which said several
sums of money I will and order shall be paid to the final [-?-] Legatees within one year after my decease; I also
give and bequeath to my Daughter Clarinda Warren single and [illegible] fifty pounds which shall be [several
words illegible] year after my decease [-?-] she shall receive [several words illegible] it before; I also give and
bequeath to my son [Ammi?] the sum of one hundred pounds and also one share of [good?] horses; I also give
and bequeath to my son Gideon Warren the sum of one hundred pounds and also once pair of good Oxen which
two [-?-] mentioned Legatees shall be paid within one year after my decease provided my son Gideon has arrived
to the age of twenty one years; I also give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Unice all my real and personal
Estate for her use and the support of my three children (Clarinda, Ammi and Gideon until they shall arrive at
lawful age) subject [?] to the provisions herein before contained with the termination of her natural life. It is also
my will and pleasure that after the payment of all my Just debts & making provision for all the above Legatees and
appropriations, and if any Estate should remain at the decease of my wife such Estate so remaining at her
decease shall be equally divided between my sons and daughters above mentioned—And lastly I appoint my
beloved wife Unice and Samuel Hooker of the town County and State aforesaid Executors of this my last will and
Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made—In witness whereof I have herein to set my hand and
seal the fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and two.

Dated 15 March 1802

Bequeaths:

• Son Comfort “(who is insane) such time as shall make a reason-able support which shall be finished at
the discretion of my Executors herein after named and shall be paid annually on the order of my said
Executors during the natural life of the said Comfort.”
• Son David B. Warren, twenty pounds
• Son Caleb Warren, ten shillings
• Son Asa Warren, ten shillings
• Son Ebenezer Warren, ten shillings
• Daughter Mary Raynolds, ten shillings
• Daughter Sarah Webster, ten shillings
• Daughter Elizabeth Webster, twenty-two pounds, one shilling, and six pence
• Heirs of daughter Phebe Sharp, Frederick and Phebe, five pounds each
• Daughter Clarinda Warren (“single”), fifty pounds
• Son [Ammi?], one hundred pounds and one share of [good?] horses
• Son Gideon Warren, one hundred pounds and “one good pair of Oxen”
• Wife Unice, “all my real and personal Estate for her use and the support of my three children (Clarinda,
Ammi and Gideon until they shall arrive at lawful age) subject [?] to the provisions herein before
