Naomi, this email dated early in 2014 is when the discussion re; my book cover discrepancy began. The image you see,
is my design. It represents what the cover in its entirety should have looked like.
I would not have insisted for a whole year that the correct changes be made, only to then acquiesce in early Jan 2015.
The electronic signature for the cover on Exhibit A is fraudulent and was never sent by me.

Hello Vanessa, I must say that it was a pleasure to receive the 1st proof of my book. Looks like this dream of mine is finally coming to
fruition. I have read all of the required information that you included with the proof and I am aware of the process we are in and its legalities.
A couple of things though; I forwarded changes to my cover and my manuscript to members of your team that were not sent to you
obviously. One is an addition to the galley sent to Yanie, which should be in your email inbox, and the other was my revised book cover
image which I have attached. Please note that the image that I have sent you IS the front cover. (Full bleed, top to bottom, right to left, as
much as possible.) Any remaining space is to be against a black background. These instructions were initially given to my check-in

Approving Your Book

Please review these files carefully to make sure you are satisfied with the contents of each. If you are satisfied with either the cover,
galley, or both, you can let me know by replying to this e-mail stating that you approve the file(s). You will need to provide written approval
of both pieces before your book will be sent to print.
Making Changes
If you find anything that you would like to change, either in the text of the files or the design, please fill out and return the appropriate
modification form attached to this e-mail. To save both time and money, you should make sure that you list all required changes now.

For the interior of the book, you can request up to 25 text (author) changes to this first proof only at no cost. If you need more than 25
changes, or if you request changes to future proofs, you can purchase additional modifications at a rate of $100 per block of 25 changes.
If formatting changes such as font choice/size are also needed, indicate these changes on the modification form as well, and they will be
completed at no charge.
For the book cover, you may make any number of changes to this first proof only at no cost. If you need to make changes to future proofs,
you can purchase additional text modifications for $25 per round or design changes for $70 per round.
Book Pricing
Now that we have determined your books page count, you can set your books pricing using our pricing calculator on the Author Center.
The price of your book is based on the print type, page count, and trim size of your book. You have a black & white book with a trim size
of 6x9 and a page count of 212.
The calculator is accessed by logging into your Author Center and clicking the Set Pricing link that appears on your dashboard. When
you reach the calculator, you will see our standard pricing for your books page count pre-populated. You will set two prices for each
format of your book: a retail channel price for third-party sellers such as Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble and a website price for sales
directly through the AuthorHouse website. Press the Set Prices link beside each format to type in either your desired retail price or the
royalty you would like to receive. The minimum price available is one that will earn you no royalties and the maximum price is double the
default price that appeared when you first loaded the calculator.
Your royalty for printed formats is calculated by subtracting the various costs involved with printing and distributing your book from the
retail price you select. Those costs include the discount provided to retailers, the actual print cost of your book, and internal costs that we
incur while making your book available for sale. Because we do not need to provide a retail discount for sales through the
AuthorHouse.com website, you can earn more at a given price per copy than you can from sales through third parties. If you select a
website price that is different from the retail price, buyers on the AuthorHouse.com website will see the retail price with a strikethrough
and then the website price beneath it.
For e-book sales, you will earn a royalty equal to 50% of the net revenue we receive. Each of the vendors selling your book withhold a
certain percentage (which varies by seller) of the selling price, and we split what is left with you. For sales through the AuthorHouse.com
website, you will receive a full 50% of the selling price.

sending them on to our printer today. The printer will set up these approved files and
push your book into the marketplace. This process takes approximately 1015 business
days to complete in its entirety. Once this process is complete, your book will be live or
available in the marketplace for purchase. When working with print-on-demand printers,
it is not possible to receive a bound printer copy before the book is available for sale.
You can expect to receive one printer copy of your book after 12 weeks of your book
being accepted by the printer. Once you receive this copy, you may contact your Book
Consultant to order any copies that were included in your publishing package.
As a benefit of working with our company, your book will be available through many
online retailers often referred to as channels. Each submission channel operates in a
slightly different way, and the timelines involved can vary significantly. It generally takes
about 610 weeks from the time a title is activated at AuthorHouse to be listed on other
retailers' websites.
AuthorHouse does retain the right to withhold royalties until a minimum threshold is met
if a check must be mailed. Currently that amount is $75. If you would like to receive

The cover then and now still looks ridiculous and was never approved by me, period. There is no record of a sent
outgoing transmission from my email with regards to that e-signature. If by just opening the email means I signed it, that
is not a legal approval. I was clear and adamant about not using that cover and I have the transmissions to prove it.
Obviously I was ignored. At your request, this is will be my last communication with you.

The cover then and now still looks ridiculous and was never approved by me, period. There is no record of a sent
outgoing transmission from my email with regards to that e-signature. If by just opening the email means I signed it, that
is not a legal approval. I was clear and adamant about not using that cover and I have the transmissions to prove it.
Obviously I was ignored. At your request, this is will be my last communication with you.
