Racist remarks from Republicans

Shocking email exchange between Paul Ryan and Rick Perry

Emails from Rick Perry and Paul Ryan were leaked to the public on June 5 revealing
racist sentiments from the republicans.
Rick Perry sent an email to Paul Ryan asking him to participate in a Republican Party
campaign that expressed support for the police force in America after the recent animosity
towards them. Recent events in the country have created too much animosity toward our justice
system, which we all know is color blind. I know I can count on you to support this project or
possibly even contribute, wrote Perry. Ryan responded in agreement with Perrys statement.
Ryans reply says, I totally agree with you about the backlash against our police force. There is
a persistent sociological problem of many inner-city men not learning the value and culture of
work. The valiant men and women in our police force are being accused for something that is
only their jobs. I will willingly stand with them in this ad campaign.
After the emails were released to the public Paul Ryan says that he stands by his
opinions. The men and women raised in the inner cities of this country need to be taught the
right core values. Them taking their violence out on the police officers is not okay. We must
stand by these men and women who save our country, defends Ryan. Rick Perry argues that he
did not make any racist comments. I did not make any statement that could be deemed racist. I
was just speaking on the matter of the amount of animosity that has been expressed towards
Americas police forces in recent times, says Perry.
Other members of the Republican party have reacted in various ways to the email
exchange. Jeb Bush defends Rick Perry and says, I do not believe that there was fault in Rick
Perrys email because what he stated was purely his opinion about our police force. Marco

Rubios running mate, Rand Paul, condones the comments from Paul Ryan and defends the
Republican Party. I do not agree with Paul Ryans statements. They do not reflect what the
Republican Party thinks as a whole and I disapprove of his act. I think that we should all be
working together and not making comments such as the ones Paul Ryan made, says Rand Paul.
Presidential candidate Marco Rubio openly voiced his disapproval of the statements from Paul
Ryan. The email in which Paul Ryan comments that men have the problem of not knowing the
value and importance of work is just an ignorant statement that is completely irrelevant to the
problem of police brutality, says Rubio.
Rubio went on to express his opinions on police brutality and how to address the issue.
Rubio explains that, There is a distinction that needs to be made between police trying to do
their jobs and police being unwarrantedly violent against people that theyre dealing with. It
really needs to come down to investigating every situation honestly and justly. Perry also says,
I believe that our police force does not deserve this animosity. They serve to protect the law and
Americans every day. Paul adds on by saying, Police brutality in the United States is a major
problem. We need to not be pointing all the fingers at police, but instead use our power to train
them in a better way as to prevent police brutality in the first place.
