WHO ARE WE?

Turrones de Costa Rica S.A. fue fundada en 1987. Su fundador

y actual presidente, Luis Diego Soto Clausen, cuenta con ms
de 20 aos de experiencia fabricando turrones y golosinas en
Costa Rica y ha mantenido desde sus inicios la filosofa de poner
en manos del cliente un producto de excelente calidad.
Desde su creacin, la empresa se ha especializado en la
elaboracin de turrones de macadamia, man y almendra. En los
ltimos aos se ha diversificado con otras variedades de turrn
y golosinas. La empresa es lder en la produccin y venta de
turrones en el pas y ha logrado convertir el turrn, originalmente
una confeccin navidea, en un producto de consumo regular
durante todo el ao.
Recientemente, Turrones de Costa Rica construy sus propias
instalaciones incrementando su capacidad de respuesta ante la
demanda de los mercados de exportacin.

Turrones de Costa Rica S.A. was founded in 1987. Luis Diego

Soto Clausen, its founder and current chairman, has 20 years of
experience producing nougat and sweets in Costa Rica, and places
great importance in offering the client a product of excellent quality.
Since its foundation, the company has specialized in the production
of macadamia, peanuts, and almond nougat. In the past years other
product varieties have been developed.
The company leads the production and sales of nougat in the
country, and has managed to turn nougat, originally a Christmas
product, into a product of regular consumption all year round.
Turrones de Costa Rica has recently built its own production
facilities increasing its production capacity in response to the
export markets high demand.

Nuestros productos estn elaborados a base de azcares, miel

de abeja, clara de huevo y diversos tipos de nueces.
Turrones de Costa Rica selecciona cuidadosa y constantemente
las materias primas, con el fin de utilizar la mejor calidad de los
ingredientes para la formulacin de sus productos y satisfacer
las altas expectativas de los consumidores.

HOW WE DO IT

Our products are made out of sugars, honey, egg whites and
different types of nuts.
Turrones de Costa Rica carefully and constantly selects the raw
materials in order to use the ingredients best qualities for the
production of its nougats, and to satisfy the customers high
expectations.

PRODUCTOS
Las golosinas que Turrones de Costa Rica produce son
energticas, nutritivas y deliciosas. Contienen grasas vegetales
no saturadas que benefician el metabolismo. Todos sus
ingredientes son naturales. No se le adicionan colorantes,
preservantes, ni sabores artificiales.

CLIENTES DE EXPORTACIN
A partir de 1995 se iniciaron las primeras exportaciones.
Actualmente se exporta a: Mxico, Guatemala, Nicaragua,
Repblica Dominicana y Puerto Rico.

RECONOCIMIENTOS
Turrones de Costa Rica ha recibido distinciones por la calidad
de sus productos y por el crecimiento en sus exportaciones.
Estos son:
1. El Premio Nacional Uribe y Pags Visionarios 2004, otorgado
por la Corporacin de Supermercados Unidos (actualmente WalMart) en la categora PYMES por Lanzamiento e Innovacin de
Impacto.
2. La Cmara de Exportadores de Costa Rica (CADEXCO), en
diciembre del 2004, otorg a Turrones de Costa Rica el Premio
CADEXCO al Mrito del Esfuerzo Exportador, Categora PYME
INDUSTRIAL.

BENEFITS OF CONSUMING OUR PRODUCTS

The sweets produced by Turrones de Costa Rica are energetic,
highly nutritious, and delicious. They have non-saturated vegetable
fats that benefit the metabolism. We only use natural ingredients.
Artificial additives are not added to our products.

EXPORT CLIENTS
We began our first exports in 1995.
We currently export our products to: Mexico, Guatemala,
Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS (PRIZES, AWARDS)

Turrones de Costa Rica has received several awards for the quality
of its products and its ever-growing export market. These are:
1. The National Uribe and Pags Visionary 2004 Prize awarded
by the Corporation of United Supermarkets (at the moment WalMart Supermarkets) in the PYMES category for Impact Launch
and Innovation.
2. In December 2004, the (Costa Rican Export Chamber) Cmara
de Exportadores de Costa Rica (CADEXCO), awarded Turrones
de Costa Rica the Premio CADEXCO al Mrito del Esfuerzo
Exportador, Categora PYME INDUSTRIAL (CADEXCO Prize for
