slump cone

A mold in the form of the lateral surface of the frustum of a cone with a base diameter of 8" (203 mm), top diameter 4" (102
mm), and height 12" (305 mm), used tofabricate a specimen of freshly mixed concrete for theslump test. A cone 6" (152 mm) high is
used for tests of freshly mixed mortar and stucco.
Cylinder mold
It is a system for laminating 23 layers of thin, full-sheet plywood into a skin of greater thickness with a preset curved shape, created
by rolling the thin plies (typically 3 mm) over a form with identical 'aerofoil-shaped' sections of changing cylindrical shape, but with
no lengthwise camber as for CC.
Beam Mold
The maximum breadth of the ships hull measured between the inside surfaces of side shell plate.
California bearing ratio mold
A ratio used to determine the bearing capacity of afoundation. It is a ratio of the force per unit area perminute required to penetrate
a soil mass, to the force required for a similar penetration of a standard crushedrock material.
Weighing scale
is a measuring instrument for determining the weight or mass of an object.
Pans
A container that receives particles passing the finestsieve during mechanical analysis of granular materials.
Casagrande cup
Is used to determine the liquid limit of a soil specimen.
Universal testing machine
A universal testing machine is used to test the tensile stress and compressive strength of materials.
Set of sieves
A metallic plate or sheet, a woven wire cloth, or other similar device, with regularly spaced apertures of uniformsize, mounted in a
suitable frame or holder, for use in separating material according to size. In mechanical analysis, an apparatus with square openings
is a sieve; one with circular apertures is a screen.
Vicat apparatus
A penetration device used in the testing of hydraulic cements and similar materials.
Graduated cylinder
A graduated cylinder, measuring cylinder or mixing cylinderis a piece of laboratory equipment used to measure the volume of a
liquid.
Spatula

an implement with a broad, flat, blunt blade, used for mixing and spreading things, especially in cooking and painting.
Mixer
A machine for blending the ingredients of concrete, mortar, or grout. Mixers are divided into two categories:batch mixers and
continuous mixers. Batch mixers blend and discharge one or more batches ata time, whereas continuous mixers are fed the
ingredients and discharge the mix continuously.
Scoop/Trowel
. A flat, broad-blade, steel hand tool used in the final stages of finishing operations to impart a relatively smooth surface
to concrete floors and other unformed concrete surfaces.
Shovel
a tool with a broad flat blade and typically upturned sides, used for moving coal, earth, snow or other material.
Steel ruler
A simple measuring instrument consisting of a long, thin metal strip with a marked scale of unit divisions.
Steel brush
The brush is usually made from a large number of steel wire bristles. The steelused is generally a high carbon variety and very
hard.
Tamping rod
A rod or bar used for the hard compaction of concrete in the compacting factor, slump or cube tests.
Mixing bowl
Mixing Bowl is a bowl used for mixing of ingredients.
Oven
an enclosed compartment, as in a kitchen range, for cooking and heating objects.
Vernier caliper
An auxiliary scale that slides along a larger scale and allows more accurate interpretation of subdivisions.
Micrometer
Instrument used for accurately measuring extremely small distances.
Open reel tape measure
It is a flexible ruler. It consists of a ribbon of cloth, plastic, fiber glass, or metal strip with linear-measurement markings. It is a long
measuring tool.
Wheelbarrow
A hand cart with one wheel in front plus two legs and two handles in back; used to move materials short distances.
