Skinbook, The Naturist Social Network Shuts Down!

The Fkk Social Network:

These days it seems we can do a lot of our daily communication on the internet. Just using
Facebook I can wish 5 people a happy birthday, share 60 vacation pictures with 300 people,
and create an event that I can encourage all my buddies to all in a matter of 15 minutes.
Online social networking has taken off. So what about networking in the universe of nudists?
"Skinbook," the nudist social network or better yet, the Facebook for nudists initially started in
2008, recently collapsed. (The Ning network prohibited nudity, and they could not animate it.)
I've seen some contris of other men and just wished to try. This were taken by my wife. We're
new at any of this because were we live in Central America this games aren't so quite
welcome. I understand pics aren't the best, but I wanted to see what all this is around.
Greetings to all women in nudist. And expect to get nice comments from women and couples

Here's an article in Time magazine about Skinbook when it was still alive. While it appeared
like a great idea, I never got around to trying it. But then I did have CO Dinner - Clothing
Optional Dinners In New York City with Facebook that could have been no dilemma for
Skinbook. A buddy posted images from an event which he cropped in order to make them
satisfactory for Facebook and share them. Well some got through the cracks and next thing I
know my friends are wondering why they were looking at an image of me naked with my
breasts revealing sitting on a towel next to another naked girl. ("I believed you'd gone to an
orgy or something!" said one of my school buddies.) Needless to say I had a little explaining
to do.
(And then the Fkk Social Network gets taken down.)
Now in relation to that episode, founder Karl Maddocks began Skinbook because they were
"kind of embarrassed" to post their nude beach photos on Facebook or Myspace. I can
actually relate, not yet having been prepared to share that part of my life with all FB buddies
by way of a topless photo. (These days I do not actively attempt to hide my identity nor do I
go shouting it off the rooftops. Regrettably it is an ongoing taboo.) So I still do lots of nudist
socializing on regular ol' FB and never attempted the Skinbook matter or other kind of
networking websites like True Nudists .com.
TrueNudists I discovered surprising in that one can hit the homepage and see people's
naked photos without even signing up! Of course both websites have had some techniques
of filtering out creepers or people looking for porn. But some friends I know who use
TrueNudists told some stories of users brazenly asking for cybersex. (Though they have met
cool people, also.) This has to be a huge problem with trying to meet other naturists online
while porn-seekers can end up in the wrong spot quite easily. Well to them it seems like the
right spot; that's the trouble.
So Skinbook is gone, but I do not believe we have really lost anything amazing there. It also
absolutely divided itself from the other large nudist groups, while I believe we should band

together! I am not sure what we'll get in the future of naturist social networks, things are
popping up constantly! For now I believe we can manage to get occasions together and keep
up with this age of simple social networking with The non-fkk boy says to using Facebook,
Twitter, Meetup Group, and more later on!
