Quality Management Responsibilities

The QA/QC department has a key of role in supervising and inspecting the work & will work closely with
the construction department to ensure effective controls are implemented in line established procedure
and contract arrangement.

A. QA/QC Engineer is responsible for:


Being the Quality Management Representative to ensure relevant quality issues.
Establishing, quality management system including setting project quality objectives, developing
the relevant quality procedures and planning quality management in subcontracting.
Overseeing update of applicable standards procedures to ensure consistency.
Leading, coordinating, integrating and following up to manage the quality activities of all phase
(incl. Engineering, Procurement and Construction), to confirm the contractual and statutory
regulations and fulfill project quality policy and objectives.
Initiating the project quality management review meeting and following up the conclusion of the
meeting.
Analyzing the root cause of nonconformance and proposing corrective and preventive actions for
continual improvement.
To review the effectiveness of proposed corrective action for outstanding NCR.
To sign off and close out NCR after the completion of correction of corrective actions are verified
by QC inspector.
To implement project internal quality audits and coordinate with MAA for external audits.

B. Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for:


Conduct audits & reviews to evaluate system & work compliance.
Monitor and verify the implementation of agreed corrective action on nonconforming material
test.
Assist in conducting audits to evaluate compliance of laboratory arrangements with documented
requirements.
Monitor trends conduct analysis and provide reporting as may be required.
Monitor and verify the implementation of suitable corrective action.

C. Quality Control Inspector is responsible for:


The Quality Control Inspector is authorized to be responsible for all matters pertaining to the
quality control activities, including material inspection and site inspection, and to issue /follow up
NCR as corrective actions are required. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
the following:
Work closely with the Construction teams and Clients.
Conduct reviews, inspections and testing as needed to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
Ensure work are properly supervised in line with approved documented requirements such as MS,
Drawings etc.
Independently monitor the works supervision to provide assurance on works compliance.
Monitoring test result consistence and preparation of analysis reports as may be required.
Ensure Independence of sampling and test required as specified for the works.
Coordinate and liaise with the Construction teams and Client on laboratory and testing matter.
