Foreword
This standard is drafted according to the rules provided in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard is non-equivalent with JIS G 3192-2008 Dimensions, mass and permissible variations of hot
rolled steel sections.
This standard replaces GB/T 11263-2005 Hot-rolled H and cut T section steel.
Compared with GB/T 11263-2005, the main difference with this standard is as follows:
Add specifications of four series models of H450 150, H475 150, H500 150 and H625 200 as well
as H 298 201 9 14 of H300 200 series.
Add HP series and thickness dimension requirements.
--Adjust sectional area, theoretical weight and sectional characteristic parameters, etc.
--Add flange bending and flange leg side outer edge passivation requirements in the part of H-steel dimension
and allowable deviation of appearance.
Annex B updates newly added I-section steel and H-section steel models and cross-sectional characteristic
parameter comparison.
Add annex C to specify the size, cross-sectional area, theoretical weight and section properties of
super-thick and extra-weight H-section steel.
Compared with JIS G3192-2008, the main difference is a follows:
The H -section steel is divided into four categories of wide flange, middle flange, narrow flange and thin
wall.
Add 19 models of thin-wall type.
Add such 10 series models as H450 150, H475 150, H500 150, H550 200, H550 300, H625 200,
H650 300, H750 300, H850 300 and Hl000 300 and other 19 specifications.
Add part of cut T-section steel model series.
In table 3, "less than 5mm" column is added for thickness t1 and the allowable deviation is 0.5mm; "less
than 5mm" column is added for thickness t2 and the allowable deviation is 0.7mm; newly added flange leg
outer edge passivation requirements.
Add requirements for technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, quality
certificates.
Remove original Annex A, add defect repair welding of H-section steel and T-section steel in Annex A.
Add Annex C to specify the size, cross-sectional area, theoretical weight and section properties of agreed
super-thick and extra-weight H-section steel.
The Annex A, Annex B and Annex C are all informative annexes.

same procedures with H-section steel.
8.4 Re-test rules
8.4.1 If the tensile or bending test is not qualified during the initial test, then one of the following methods can
be adopted for re-test:
8.4.1 Take another two specimens from the same product for re-test of disqualified test item. If the re-rest result
is qualified, then this batch of products is qualified. If, in the re-test, one of the specimens is disqualified, then
this product is discarded. Meanwhile, take another two products from the same batch and two specimens are
made respectively from the two products, this batch of products will be marked disqualified if one of the
specimens is tested disqualified during the re-test.

Annex A
(Informative annex)
Criteria for repair welding of H-section steel and T-section steel
A.1 Repair welding
A.1.1 Before repair welding, it is essential to bake the welding rod dry and the pre-heating temperature is
generally 350, lasting for 1 hour; short arc operation is generally adopted during repair welding and string
beading is preferable. The welding current is controlled by medium limit. During the welding process, the
matrix metal shall be kept dry and it is recommended to adopt low-hydrogen electrode.
A.1.2 For the product with yield strength level lower than Q345, the product shall be cooled down in stilled air
during and after the welding process.
A.1.3 For the product with yield strength level being Q345, when the operating ambient temperature of repair
welding is 5, please add preheating measures before welding and slow-cooling measures after welding.
Pre-heat above 100 within the peripheral area of 100mm before welding and after welding, use covering
asbestos cloth or wooden dust for slow cooling.
A 1.4 For the products with intensity level above Q345 with such special performance requirements as fire
resistance and weather resistance, when the ambient temperature for repair welding is 5, please add
preheating measures before welding and slow-cooling measures after welding. Pre-heat above 150 within the
peripheral area of 100mm before welding, the interlayer-temperature during welding is <200 and after
welding, use covering asbestos cloth or wooden dust for slow cooling.
A 1.5 Use appropriate methods, such as grinding wheel to grind the welded part and remove the bulging metal
to enable the welded part to be smoothly flushed with the rolled surface. Fixed continuous grinding is forbidden
for this will result in surface being blue or discoloring.
A.2 Repair welding quality inspection
A.2.1 Visually inspect the appearance of repair welded part, the welded part and the heat affected zone shall be
smooth, beautiful and free from such defects as surface cracks, undercuts, visible pores and slag inclusion, etc.
If there is any surface defect, please carefully clean the defects for repair welding again.
A.2.2 Measure the surface smoothness with such measuring tools as steel ruler and the welded part shall be
flushed with the rolled surface. After the welding seam and welding waves are cleaned, the welded part shall be
of the same height with the original rolled surface.
A 2.3 Repair welding part and heat affected zone shall be inspected with magnetic particle inspection method
within 48h after the welding is completed and the welded area shall be free from any residual minor cracks. If
there are any residual minor cracks, please carefully clean before conduct repair welding again.
A.2.4 The repair times for the same location shall not exceed 2.
A.2.5 Detailed recording shall be made for each location of repair welding. The content generally includes: The
designation, specification and batch of the steel product need repair-welding; the type and location of surface
defect; whether pre-heating and slow-cooling measures are needed; quality inspection after repair welding;
name (signature) of operator and inspector of repair welding and date of repair-welding, etc.

Model and cross-sectional characteristic parameter comparison of I-section steel and H-section steel
According to the principle that the cross-section is approximately the same and the bending strength around X
axis is no lower than corresponding I-section steel, the related models of H-section steel in this standard and
related models of I-section steel in new national standard as well as performance parameter comparison (Refer
to B.1) are calculated for the reference of related staff when using H-section steel.
