T invites some pupils in pairs to act out the


story on page 14. She revises all words they
studied last lesson. She shows them some
flashcards and they answer on the questios:
What's this?
Is this your teddy?
Is this my bag? She takes sombody else bag.
What colour is this pen?
Teacher asks pupils to open their Class Book
on page 16. She asks them to look at the
pictures. She draws or puts cards of new toys
on the board. Then she asks pupils to draw the
same toys into their notebook. When they
finish,the children listen and point to the
pictures. They listen again and repeat the
words. This is reinforced with flashcards
activities.

Teacher invites children to listen, learn and


sing a song.
T plays the song to the class. The children
listen and point to the pictures to show
understanding of the words. She recites the
words of the song with the class, without the
music. She says each line and asks children to
repeat. Then she plays the recording and
sings the song with the class a number of
times with the recording. She teaches actions
to accompany the song.
Then sing a song, but this time with the
actions.
The children perform actions as they sing the
song.

the help of phonics cards. Teacher plays the

letter names, sounds and words in chorus.
The children see these words in the sentences
and learn a chant. The chant provides targeted
pronunciation practise within an engaging
context. The children look at the chant again
and identify the letters that create the phonics
sounds. The children choose the correct letters
for certain words. Teacher goes through the
answers with the class, asking them to come
up and circle letters.
Teacher asks pupils to take their Workbook
and open them on page 16. They look at the
exercise 1. Trace and write. Teacher explains
them what to do. She walks around the class
