School of Business & Media, Pune, 2016

A very Good afternoon to one and all present here. On behalf of International
School of Business & Media President Dr. Pramod Kumar, Executive Director Dr
Anirban Sen Gupta, Dr. Saroja Asthana founder & secretary Mulshi Group of
institutes, Dr. Ravi jaiswal the academic chairperson, Dr. Pankaj Srivastav
principal SOT, Dr. Vaman Nayak principal COC, entire faculty, staff and students, I
have the honor to welcome you to the 13th Annual Convocation ceremony of
International School of Business & Media

profileDr. Anirban Sengupta has taken charge as Executive Director, International School
of Business & Media (ISB&M) Group. He brings in 25 years of rich industryacademia experience. Dr. Sengupta has served as Visiting Faculty with IIM Indore
for three academic years and with IIM Kozhikode for five years. He was awarded
the Dewang Mehta Best Teacher Award in Retail Management for the year 2009.
His major area of interest lies at the interplay of Marketing, Finance and Strategy.
Dr. Sengupta holds a B.E. degree in Electrical engineering from Jadavpur
University, Kolkata, M.M.S. in Marketing from NMIMS, University of Mumbai
and PhD in Management from University of Pune.
May I request our Dr. SENGUPTA to deliver the Welcome Address.

profileDr. Pramod kumar holds a Ph.D. degree in Organizational Behavior from IIT
Mumbai. He has been Formerly associated with IIM Ahmadabad, Former
Chairperson Placement, XLRI Jamshedpur; Ex-Director, Symbiosis Institute of
Business Management Pune. He has been a Consultant to over 80 companies
worldwide. Author of over 100 research papers, cases and management games.
His Research has been quoted internationally in textbooks and journals. He has
Served on Government of India Committees on Management Education.)

ProfileMs. Madhavi lal joined Deutsche bank from Accenture where she was Managing
Director HR. Prior to this she was with Standard Chartered Bank where her last
role was Global Head of Employee Relations. She has also played key roles,
including being the Regional Head of HR, India & South Asia since 2007 and a
Director on the Board of Standard Chartered Finance Limited.
Ms. Madhavi Lal has over 25 years of work experience and worked with
organizations like ABN Amro Bank, Colgate Palmolive and HCL Hewlett Packard
Ltd. She is 1991 batch XLRI and has pursued a Masters degree in Mathematics
from St. Stephens College.
Ms. Madhavi Lal was conferred the Women Leadership Award by the Jury and
Council of Board Members of the Institute of Public Enterprise BFSI)
Now, I would request Ms. Madhavi lal to address the graduating
batch.

profileMr. Cherian Thomas is the National Director and CEO of World Vision India, an
international humanitarian and development organisation working for the wellbeing of vulnerable children. He leads a team of around 1,900 staff members,
together serving 26 lakh children in projects spread across 163 districts of India.
Mr. Thomas has over 29 years of experience in diverse fields, having last served
as CEO, IDFC Foundation.
Mr Thomas has worked for almost 18 years in IDFC Limited. He has also worked
with major organizations such as Tata Industries Limited, ICICI Limited, SCICI
Limited and Citibank in the areas of corporate finance, project finance and
banking.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honors) and Masters in
Management Studies in Finance from the University of Mumbai, India.
Now, I would request Mr. Thomas to enlighten the gathering with his words of
wisdom.

profileMr. Vijay Chandok is currently the executive director, designate, ICICI bank. He
has an experience of more than 26 years. Mr Chandok has an expertise and skills in
Banking, Business development, Business strategy, Relationship management and
many more. He has done his M.M.S from Narsee Monjee institute of management
studies.
Now, I would request Mr. Vijay Chandok to deliver the convocation speech.

Now we will begin with the rewarding of the certificates for the Business
Management batch.. I would request the Academic Chairperson ,Dr Ravi Jaiswal to

International School of Business & Media, Pune has set benchmark of excellence.
We have with us the Young Corporates ready to carve a niche of their own in the
corporate world and climb the corporate ladder only vertically and expand their
horizons horizontally.
we wish goodluck to all of you for your future endevours.
