APCRI is the registered scientific society, founded in 1998 by a


group of 17 dedicated Medical & Veterinary professionals, who
were committed towards the goal of achieving Rabies free India
by 2020.
APCRI serves as a platform that brings together the best minds in
the country for Advocacy, Research & Information dissemination
about prevention & control of Rabies. In this regard, APCRI has
been conducting Annual National Conferences and other activities
regarding the latest development in the Prevention and Control of
Rabies (www.apcri.org).

APCRICON 2016 is the 18 Annual National Conference which will
be held at Bangalore, a city which has the unique distinction of
nurturing 3 pioneering Institutions, renowned for their work in the
field of prevention & control of rabies in India.
1. Department of Community Medicine, Kempegowda
Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), recognised for providing
dedicated 24 X 7 post exposure prophylaxis services & pioneers in
clinical research on prophylaxis against rabies.
2. Department of Neurovirology, National Institute of Mental
Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS), the WHO collaborating
centre for reference & research on rabies, engaged in
commendable laboratory diagnostic services and research on
rabies.
3. Departments of Microbiology & Pathology, Veterinary
College, the pathfinders in preventing rabies among animals & in
turn breaking its transmission to humans. Involved in diagnosis
and molecular epidemiology of animal rabies, in addition to seromonitoring of vaccinal antibodies at KVAFSU/CVA/Crucell Rabies
Diagnostic Laboratory.

written in the following order: Title, Need for the study,
Objectives, Methodology, Results & Conclusion.

Abstracts without results & conclusion will not be
considered for oral presentation

Last date for abstract submission is 31st May, 2016.

The Scientific Committee will review the papers and finalize the
mode of presentation.

The accepted abstracts & the mode of presentation will be
