1.) A company that would most likely be applicable is that of the PLDT, mainly considering the
services it offers to the public. It has been proved that wireless communications with the use of
Wireless Fidelity, Wireless Internet (WiFi) are keeping managers, employees, customers,
suppliers, and business partners connected in every way possible at any time of the day. The
emerging power of the internet is providing new and diverse lines of communication for all types
of businesses, large and small. Through increased communication channels and decreased costs
of the communications in the industry, customers are demanding more of businesses in terms of
service and product, at lower costs. Thus, E-commerce is changing the way businesses must
attract and respond to customers.
With just one click with the use of any technological devices, significant business relationships
with customers, suppliers, and employees are digitally enabled and mediated worldwide.
PLDTs revolutionized information systems have changed the way it operates its products and
services. Like for instance, core business processes, key corporate assets, core competencies,
financial and human assets are already managed through digital means. Likewise, it responds
and troubleshoots recurring technical problems far more rapidly than it used to a couple of years
ago.

Proposed System for DLSU:

As can be gleaned on from the above diagrams, I deem it effectual to accommodate online
payments to ensure safety on the part of the student and at the same time to avoid queues at the
cashier. This proposal would also eliminate additional overhead costs, i.e., hiring of additional
cashiers that DLSU has to necessarily incur during enrollment periods.

3.) Software is adding value to automakers products by adding more monetary or material worth
in terms of the freshness it offers to their products and services without having to invest heavily
in new vehicle production. With the incorporation of software in their cars, automakers are
entering uncharted territory so it is now incumbent upon them to devote adequate resources for
the updating and testing of their software. More so, the existence of software allows automakers
to aggregate and analyze the data from customers cars in identifying technical or mechanical
problems. Nonetheless, the possibilities are limited only to the stretch of the imagination of
automakers.
It is worthy to note that software helps alleviate urban congestion by investing in technology that
effectively addresses the problems closely associated with traffic. The eventual system would
require that cars feed increasing amounts of information to systems which purpose would be to
minimize highway congestion. This method is conclusively establishing ways to provide indefinite
updated software to their customer. On the contrary, many of the technologies included in
automobile software packages raises the same privacy concerns surrounding location tracking
that have often plagued the smartphone industry. This is the best way to roll out software
upgrades to its customer. USB stick contains a software upgrade that will significantly improve
the features. The upgrade also contains code that will upgrade system speed and improve the
interface based on common criticism. Even so, the customers must get into the habit of checking
the Ford Web for software upgrade.
Software provides the automakers a competitive advantage of allowing cars to be managed via
the cloud. Like for instance in the case, the software used by My Ford Touch has an in-dash touch
screen available for controls with navigation, music, phone integration and temperature. It also
has the Sync software which enables tablet and smartphones to access music and other apps
using by only voice commands. This is a competitive advantage compared to other normal cars
in the market. This feature of software makes it easier for customer to use the car efficiently with
the going times. Moreover, Ford has also come out with a software to solve urban congestion by
helping cars to avoid traffic jams, to reserve parking space in advance, and etc. For future
planning, Ford is developing ways for vehicles to communicate with one another on the road to
avoid collisions.
Thus, it can be said that managers are given the prerogative to pioneer on necessary
technological advancements to serve the best interests of the organization. While the interaction
between the organization and technology creates complex (and at times costly) effects, it is
nevertheless vital to incorporate the needs of todays generation alongside the products and/or
services that the organization offers in order to survive in the thriving yet competitive market.
