Attitudes Toward School Use. Computers in the Schools, 31(3), 233-250.
INTRODUCTION
Research Questions (if research questions are not specifically mentioned, what is the
theoretical background or overarching theme):
How can the school administrators use the technology. And specially the iPads in their field.
In other words, we can say the benefits of using iPads in education, in schools. And one of
the research question is "What is the impact of the training process on school administrators'
beliefs regarding how teachers should use iPads in the classroom?"

Purpose of the research:

The purpose of this research was to understand the impact of training process on school
administrators' use of iPads for school tasks and at the same time for their personal
organization to be more efficient. Shortly, the purpose is to determine how iPads can be
useful in education world.
METHODOLOGY
What is the methodology for the research or approach used to understand the issue?
Provide information regarding the following:
Participants:
Elementary and secondary school administrators working in one of the largest public
charter school system.
This school was chosen because iPads were provided to the administrators.
Fifty-one subjects were selected through a purposive sampling from the target
population.
Procedures:
Training was designed based on feedback from the participants and was used through
a webinar session.
The iPad was based in these kinds of tasks; note-taking, calendar, productivity, filesharing, remote-desktop, presentation, and screen-sharing applications covered more
specifically from a principal's perspective.
For technical support to the school administrator, the researchers used email and

telephone for support needs.

Data Collection Methods/Data Source: the data collection was designed based on the
feedbacks of the participants and delivered to the researchers through an interactive
webinar session.

Data Analysis: Data from these feedbacks from the participants categorized into five main
groups; analysis of demographic and contextual data, impact of the training process on
school, impact of the training process on school administrators' beliefs regarding how
teachers should use iPads in classroom, differences in participants' responses by their
demographic and contextual data, and lastly from the evaluation of training process.
According to results, 50.98% of school administrators held a bachelor's degree and 49.02%
held a master's degree.

RESULTS
Findings or Results (or main points of the article):

For the impact of training: use of iPads for Administrative Tasks and Organization in
Professional Duties, the majority of partiicpants which is 66.67% responded
affirmatively to this question.
Analysis of the question, "What is the best feature of iPad in your experience?,"
revealed that "being mobile" was the most common response with 21.43%, after this
response "touchscreen" comes with 20.88%.
For the question "rate your iPad knowledge", 31.37% for the participants rated their
selves as beginner in their iPad knowledge. 64.71% rated themselves as intermediate,
and lastly 3.92% rated themselves as advanced in iPad knowledge.

DISCUSSIONS
Conclusions/Implications (for your profession): According to the results, school
administrators in K-5 reported their level of iPad skills and knowledge higher than
administrators of K-8 and K-12 schools. In this study all participants owned an iPad, with
majority receiving from their school districts.

REFLECTIONS
Students Reflections (changes to your understanding; implications for your
school/work):
Results also showed that applications in the "educational" category were the most
used types of iPad applications, followed by "communication" and "books and
reference" prior to the training. The research showed that the technology can be
useful in the future of education because there are many futuristic products
coming out that can be useful in education sector. And for 21th century we should
be following the technology as fast as we can to understand the young ages and
give them the best education possible.
