Activity Description: Can O Your Town using Microsoft Word I created a true to size soup
can for my hometown of Canton, Ohio. It includes the Daily Values, ingredients, and a celebrity
endorsement from myself.
What you learned: This activity reiterated my skills in Microsoft Word, by having me use line
tools, painting tools, shape tools and the text box tool. This activity required creativity and a
good understanding of these tools within the program.

Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products
and processes using technology.
Application of Skills Learned in the Future: I really like this artifact and would like to turn it
into a project more appropriate for a high school English class. I could have all of the students in
the class create a can for their favorite literary character from the semester. Students could list
the characters attributes under ingredients, as well as include vital information on the characters
importance to the rest of the work that they belong to.
