PayrollWageTypes
Apartfromdialoguewagetypesandtechnicalwagetypes,wagetypeswhicharegenerated/calculatedduringpayroll
runcanbecategorisedaspayrollwagetypes,

DeductionWageTypes
DeductionwagetypecanbedefinedbymarkingdeductionwagetypeindicatorinV_T511.Whenvalueisassignedto
suchwagetypesitisautomaticallyreversedbymultiplyingitwith1

ElementsofWageType
Amount(AMT),Rate(RTE),Number(NUM)aredifferentelementsofwagetype.
Dependingonwagetypepurposeitcanhavevalueinone,twoorallfields.
ForEx:BonuspaywillhaveonlyAMTandbasicpaymayhaveRTEandNUM

ProcessingWagetypes

ProcessingClass,CumulationClass,Evaluationclassdetermineshowwagetypeshouldbeprocessed.These
propertiesofwagetypeisdefinedinV_512W_D
ProcessingClass:Determineshowawagetypeshouldbeprocessedduringpayrollrun
Example:Ifprocessingclass01specificationofwagetypesayTEST,5itmeanswagetypeisvaluationbase.
CumulationClass:Cumulationclassdefineshowawagetypeshouldbecumulated.
Evaluationclass:ValueforevaluationclassdetermineshowwagetypeshouldbeprintedintoPayslip

WagetypepermissibilityforInfotype:BydefiningpermissibilityofwagetypeforInfotypewedefinewagetypeshould
bedisplayedinwhichInfotypeforwhichperiod.
WagetypepermissibilityforEmployeesubgroupandpersonnelsubarea:Wagetypecouldbelimitedtocertain

Inscenarioswhenemployeehasworkedonlyforpartialperiodoremployeesdatalikeunit,designation,salaryetc.is
changedinmiddleofperiod,payrollperiodneedstobedividedintopartialperiodinordertocalculateexactpayof
employee.Itscalledfactoring/wagetypesplit.InSAPfactoringisdonethroughpartialperiodfactorsrangingfrom/801
to/816.Eachrepresentingdifferentrule.SplitscouldbeWPBP(WorkCenterBasicPaysplit,CostcenterSplit(KR
Split).Incaseofsubstitutionduringapayrollperiodanemployeeneedstoberemunerateddifferentlyinsuchcase
ALPsplit(Splitfordifferentpay)isused.Ifforanemployeecountryspecificinformationfortax,socialinsuranceetc.is
availablethenCountryspecificsplitsareused.

RecentlyihavecreatedaUSwagetypeformyclient
whichisfordonationswhichwouldbepaidthrougha
thirdpartyvendor.

WehaveRegularwageandalsowehave
supplementalwages.So,theywouldbeprocessed
differentlyandtheyareprocessedfortaxinadifferent
way.

Comingtotheretro,youcanthrowsomelighton
it.SomewagetypesarerelatedtoGarnishmentsand
forTaxationaswell.FinallywehavepostingtoFIon
