Date:2012-12-24
Time:15:37:13
- 10 -
The code 72098AC6 is an indication for the location via the mobile network. The latest
coordinates indicate the last known GPS position and time of the last GPS location.
TRACKING
The tracing function allows you to set up an automatic location and interval. For
example you can request that the tracker sends its position every 5 minutes via SMS.
Enable Tracking
The command code to enable tracking is :
*#11#0000#y#
0000 is the password you configured, y is the time in minutes between the two
locations. For example, if you enter 10 in place of y, the tracker sends you its position
every 10 minutes.
SMS Response
The response of the tracker in trace mode is identical to the response of a single
location (see page 10).
Disable Tracking
The command code for disabling the tracking function is:
*#011#0000#
ATTENTION :
0000 is the 4-digit password you configured.
You will receive an SMS response containing the following message : Scan = off.
- 11 -
GEOFENCING
Geofencing is a feature that allows you to set a radius(fence) for the tracker. Once the
tracker leaves the set radius, it will send you an SMS notificaiton. For example, you
would be informed if your car was stolen and left the parking space. You can only
determine the radius around the current position of the tracker. Then activate the
Geofencing function once you have parked your car.
NOTE :
The Geofencing function requires a very precise location. This feature is not
available if the tracker does not receive any GPS signal. In this case, you will
receive an SMS containing the message: GPS function IS not available, Will try
again later (GPS function is not available, will try again in a moment). The tracker
continues to look for a GPS signal and then activates the Geofencing function
upon receiving GPS signals.
Enable Geofencing
To enable Geofencing, send the following SMS:
*#77#0000#x#y#
0000 represents the password you configured, x is the radius in kilometers before the
tracker notifies you and y is the number of minutes that must pass before the tracker
rechecks the position. You can also specify the radius in increments of 100 meters
through a point between decimals (example: 1.3 = 1300m).
EXAMPLE :
You have set the password to 3333 and you wish to be informed as soon as
your dog moves more than 500 feet from your property. The tracker must
check the position every 30 minutes. Send the following SMS to the tracker:
*#77#3333#0.5#30#
SMS Response
You will get an SMS as soon as the tracker leaves the defined radius, :.
NOTE :
When the tracker re-enters the defined radius, you do not receive an SMS
notification. However, you will receive an SMS when the tracker leaves the radius
again.
Disable Geofencing
The command code for deactivating Geofencing is:
*#077#0000#
ATTENTION :
0000 represents the password you configured.
You will receive an SMS response containing the message: Radius = off.
- 12 -
EMERGENCY FUNCTION
NOTE :
This section applies only to the GT-280. The GT-170 does not have the emergency
function.
The GT-280 has a function for sending an SMS to up to three emergency phone
numbers at the touch of a button. This SMS contains the data of the current position
of the tracker including a link that allows recipients of emergency text messages to
know immediately where the sender is at the time of emergency.
The owner of Guardian Phone can also enable the tracker to make a call on the
Guardian Phone for a communication to be established.
Save and delete emergency contacts
Before an emergency message is sent, you must set up to three emergency contacts
numbers which will be sent a text message after sending the emergency message.
To set the SMS contacts, send an SMS with the following content to the number of
tracker:
*#288#0000#+1XXX#+1YYY#+1ZZZ#
Enter your password in place of 0000. XXX, YYY and ZZZ refer to the numbers of
recipients of emergency text messages. Be sure to note the country code in front of
the number (+1 for United States)
If do not enter a number in a particular slot, it will leave the slot open or delete the
number that was previously saved in that slot.
EXAMPLE :
Lets say your new password is 3333 and you want to use the numbers
408-123-4567 and 408-765-4321 as emergency contacts and you leave the
third slot open. The order code would be:
*#288#3333#+14081234567#+14087654321##
Emergency Call
To report an emergency, the owner of the GT-280 must hold the Emergency button
for several seconds. A text message containing the current position and the SOS
message will immediately be sent to registered emergency contacts.
The content of an emergency SMS is the data contained in an SMS location. See the
relevant paragraph from page 10 for more information.
Automatic Redial
In an emergency, the owner of the Phone Guardian can send a command code to the
GPS tracker so that it calls the Phone Guardian to establish communication using the
trackers speaker and microphone.
The command code for initiating automatic callback is :
*#66#0000#
ATTENTION :
0000 represents the password you configured.
Once the tracker sends the command code for callback, it calls the Phone Guardian
and automatically establishes communication.
- 13 -
OTHER FEATURES
EXAMPLE :
Lets say your new password is 3333 and you want to activate the SMS to
E-mail with the E-mail address simvalley@gmail.com. The SMS to the tracker
would be :
SMS to E-mail
You can set the GPS tracker so that SMS is not only sent to the Phone Guardian, but
also an e-mail address of your choice. If you do not have a smartphone with internet
access and you can not use the link in Google Maps, SMS, this option can be very
useful.
ATTENTION :

SMS Gateway
To enable SMS to E-mail, you will need the number of your SMS gateway from
your service provider. It is a specific number that the provider uses to transmit
messages to E-mail addresses or vice versa. Ask your service provider for the SMS
gateway phone number.
Enable SMS to E-mail
To enable SMS to E-mail, send an SMS with the following content to the number
of the tracker:
*#46#3333#YYYY#simvalley@gmail.com#
As mentioned, YYY Y is the SMS gateway number.
*#46#0000#YYYY#ZZZ@ZZZZ.ZZ#
Enter your password in place of 0000. YYYY is the number of your SMS gateway,
ZZZ@ZZZZ.ZZ is the E-mail address you want it sent to. You will receive an SMS

Sleep Mode
You can set the tracker in Sleep Mode. In Sleep Mode, the tracker turns off the GPS
and GSM to save energy and increase battery life. For example, if you want to check
the position of a car or body only once a day instead of every 10 minutes, its best to
activate the sleep mode to save battery power. You can still send command codes to
the tracker, but it will not read the command until the tracker is activated again.
NOTE :
Sleep Mode is particularly useful with the Geofencing function; when you check
of the position of the tracker less often. For example, activate Geofencing and
Sleep Mode with an interval of 24 hours. The tracker is then activated every 24
hours, checks its position, sends you an SMS if its outside of the defined radius
during this time interval and then it will go back into Sleep Mode.
ATTENTION !
If sleep mode is activated, the tracker will receive no further control
commands, and therefore no provision for manual position or to disable the
sleep mode. You must wait until the interval has elapsed once more, before
the text message arrives. A premature deactivation of the Sleep mode is
only possible by restarting the tracker manually with on / off button.
SMS response
If you activate sleep mode, you will receive a message containing: Wakeup Hour =
y (y is the wake up hour interval)
