Rules of Combination - Learning Disability


Title: Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities
General information
This qualification is within the certificate range of credit.
Learners must achieve a minimum of 23 credits to gain the Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities.
To do this they must achieve:
- 12 credits from the mandatory units in Group A
- a minimum of 11 credits from the optional units in Group B
- a minimum of 17 credits must be achieved at level 3
NB Learners can only take either L206 (K) or LD206 (C) and not both as they are barred combinations. See below for further information.
All units must be assessed in accordance with Skills for Care and Development QCF Assessment Principles and the regulatory arrangements for the
Qualifications and Credit Framework.
* NB Use of barred combinations for progression.
Where a barred combination is shown between units in Group B this does not mean that learners cannot achieve both units. The bar is on claiming
credits for both units, where the same knowledge occurs in a knowledge unit and its related competence unit.
