New Cellphone-Computer

Think Globally, Act Locally

The
worlds
technology is exceeding
even more and more.in
less than two years, a new
smartphones would act
as a new computer to the
individuals.

The smartphones
of 2011 and 2012 werent
quite powerful enough to
fulfill all of the computing
demands
of
people.
Chipmaker ARM is so
confident of projecting
a date when it can be go
phone-only in the year
2016.

These
new
smartphones are the shift
away from the desktop.
It has the increased
processing power, better
battery
life,
vastly
improved
networking
speeds and larger screen
sizes on mobile devices.

Many consumers
have recommended these
smartphones for their
easy transactions which is
fundamentally a primary
computing device. The
Global PC industry has
been on a downward

trend since smartphones

penetration continues to
grow.

In many developing
countries, smartphones
on the primary device
which act as their first
computer
and
their
only Internet-connected
device. the advantage of
these smartphones i that
it can be use with such
no bassles and many
more activities can be
completed by the use of
these new smartphones.//

Philippines: Haze Free

The Phillippines
was proved to be free
from suffocating haze
after it strikes the country.
People
in
Southern
Mindanao was relieved
to hear that the country is
free from haze, as being
the affected part of the
country.

The haze scattered
throughout the Philippines
interrupting the Southern
Mindanao on October 19,
2015,monday morning.
but the country is now
fee from suffocating
haze, enunciated by the
PAGASA. The choking
haze was expected tolast
until December-January,
until it was declared that
the country is haze free.

Haze can easily
affect the health of an
individual. It can cause

respiratory
symptoms
and increase heart or lung
diseases, exposure to this
can also cause irritation of
the eyes, nose and throat
in healthy individuals.

All people must
be careful and more
observant for what will

Science trivias

A global but a local action, a simple way to make
the world better, than before. Humanity doesnt hold
to best track record when it comes to environmental
protection and preservation, but a simple deed can
have a big effect in the environment.

The Filipino people had encountered many
environmental disasters and problems occurring in
the country of which Typhoon Lando is one of the
example. As the typhoon hit the country, it brought
floods. Lots of properties were damaged, especially
the environment and the most affected are citizens
who live in the country.

This time everyone can help lessen the effect
of climate change by recycling. Recycling is a process
to convert waste materials into new products to
prevent waste of potentially useful materials. Instead
of throwing some used plastic materials, they can be
useful again by recycling.

Recycling is important for environmental
conservation. Its a small and simple act but if
everybody participates, the result would be visible and
global. Everybody must recycle because it can mitigate
some environmental problems such as pollution which
can easily affect a persons health.

For the sake of future generations, everyone
must find a way to prevent further damages that
climate change brings to the environment. Recycling
is the simplest way to save the fragile world back to
its natural beauty. It is simple but it brings a globally
visible effect.

Floods usually happen where there are

surroundings such as
haze, so that all can be
prepared from the after
effect of the haze. As for
now, the countrys air
index is good and fair
which indicates that it
is safe for the people to
inhale and exhale the
breathe air.

The average seconds of human dreams lasts 2 to 3 seconds and atleast 7 dreams a night.
The farthest you can see in naked eye is 2.4 light years away. (140,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles)
Your brain is more active and thinks more at night than during the day.
Your brain is 80% more water.
Sneeze travels at over 100 miles per hour.
You blink your eyes over 10,000,000 a year.
It is impossible to sneeze when your eyes are open.
Your tongue, eye and jaw muscles are among the strongest muscle in your body.
The width of your armspan stretched out is the length of your body.
Humans small intestine is 6 meters long.
The human body is 75% water.
The strongest bone in your body is the femur (thigh bone) and it is hollow.
The dust on rugs and furniture is not only dirt, it is mostly made of dead skin cells.
Everybody loses millions of skin cells every day.

Global Warming: Sea level rise threatens to

The
Philippine
has a big chance of
being submerged due

from rising sea levels. Its
water levels are rising at
a rate almost three times
than previous initial
average. About 0.6% of
the countrys total area
has the possibility of

sinking according to a
research conducted by
the UP (University of the
Philippines).

Global warming is
the term used to describe
the gradual increase in the
average temperature of the
Earths atmosphere and
its oceans, a change that
is permanently changing
the Earths climate. It
can easily affect all the
aspects of a lifestyle of an
individual.
Global warming
has brought about El

problems. Its a long
term drought that results
to diminished food and

Scientists

that has a big note in

adequate water supply.

The
Philippines
is one of the countries
most severely affected
by the global warming.
Perhaps a time will come
that global warming may
lead to a severe lack
of food and water. The
people can help lessen
these possibilities by
disciplining themselves
through their relationship
to the environment.

By respecting the
environment, people can
help mitigate the effects
of natures wrath. This
way, the country and its
citizens will not suffer.

The development
of the microorganism
clusters can be found in
fresh water and deepocean deposits. Textbooks
may have to be updated
following the discovery
of three new methane
organisms.
In
textbooks,
it states that methane
metabolism is secluded
in
single

microorganisms,
the
Eurychaeota. This will
be affected by their
recent
discovery
of
Bathyarchaeota which is
also capable of methane
metabolism.

diversity of life on Earth.

Astronauts
on
the International Space
Station give up many
pleasures to take those
giant leaps in the name
of science. One of the
things astronauts say they
miss most is a good cup
of coffee.

Anew microgravity
coffee machine named
ISSpresso
was
delivered to the space
by SpaceX on April 20.
It is a key to spacecraft
operations that advances
in the understanding of
how fluids behave in low
gravity.

David Avino of the
Italian engineering firm
Argotec stated that their
aerospace engineers have
designed a coffeemaker
that can function in
microgravity conditions.
What astronauts need is a
zero-G coffee cup that

puts the strange behavior

of fluid in microgravity to
work.

In low gravity
environments like the
space station, fluids tend
to get sticky and the
zero-G coffee cup solves
this problem by going
with the flow. This
oddball cup wouldnt
work on Earth, but it is a
marvel in space.
Basically,
the
liquid piles up right at the
lip of the cup and keeps
flowing as you sip. It
pours out by the combined
effects of your mouth, the
melting conditions of the
fluid, surface tension and
the particular shape of the
cup explains Weislogel.
The new invented zero-G
coffee cup is not all
about the coffee it is to
understand how fluids
behave in any container.

Predicting Floods

A computer tool known

as the Global Flood

or
GFMS
which
maps flood conditions
worldwide,
is
now
available online. Users
anywhere in the world
can use the system to
determine when flood

communities.
GFMS
works 24/7, even when
there is cloud cover or

It is much useful for
the users because they
can look around to see
whether there is a rain

the rain is over, and
how the water moving
downstream.

At times, our system

can get information, says
