1.ScopeThislawshallgoverntheestablishment,operation,maintenanceandownershipofcockpits.
2.Rules:
1.OnlyFilipinocitizensnototherwiseinhibitedbyexistinglawsshallbeallowedtoown,manageandoperatedcockpits.
2.Onlyonecockpitshallbeallowedineachcityormunicipalitywithapopulationof100,000orless.
3.CockpitsshallbeconstructedandoperatedwithintheappropriateareasasprescribedintheZoningLaworordinance.
4.Whenallowed:
1.CockghtingshallbeallowedonlyinlicensedcockpitsduringSundaysandlegalholidaysandduringlocalestasfornotmore
than3days;or
2.Duringprovincial,cityormunicipal,agricultural,commercialorindustrialfair,carnivalorexpositionforasimilarperiodof3
daysuponresolutionoftheprovince,cityormunicipalitywheresuchfair,carnivalorexpositionistobeheld,subjecttothe
approvaloftheChiefofConstabularyorhisauthorizedrepresentative.
Limitations:
a)Nocockghtingontheoccasionofsuchfair,carnivalorexpositionshallbeallowedwithinthemonthofthelocalestaorformore
than2occasionsayearinthesamecityofmunicipality.
b)NocockghtingshallbeheldonDecember30,June12,November30,HolyThursday,GoodFriday,ElectionDayandduring
registrationdaysforsuchelection/referendum.
1.Ifthepurposeisfortheentertainmentofforeigndignitariesorfortourists,orforreturningbalikbayans,orforthesupportofnational
fundraisingcampaignsforcharitablepurposesasmaybeauthorizedbytheOceofthePresidentuponresolutionofaprovincial
