Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per
question)
1. Briefly describe the field
experience. What did you learn
about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this
field experience?
The school where I teach is 1:1, and
students use their device regularly at
home and at school. Most often when
students have computer issues they
rely on the teacher, or visit student
tech support. However, most of the
time the students could resolve the
problems with basic troubleshooting
before informing the teacher, or tech
support.
2. How did this learning relate to
the knowledge (what must you
know), skills (what must you be
able to do) and dispositions

required of a technology facilitator
or technology leader? (Refer to the
standards you selected in Part I.
Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and
reflect on all 3knowledge, skills,
and dispositions.)
The technology coordinator must
know how to use the student devices
in order to assist them with
troubleshooting. The facilitator must
be able to communicate the same
information about the student devices
to teachers. Also, the facilitator must
understand that part becoming
proficient in the digital age is for all
students to understand basic
troubleshooting.
3. Describe how this field
experience impacted school
improvement, faculty development
or student learning at your school.
How can the impact be assessed?
Digital age learning environments
require students who are familiar with
basic troubleshooting. Most students
are not aware of specifics regarding
their devices, and so it is important
for them to learn somehow. Since
there are no computer classes at my
school, using alternative teaching
methods, such as pamphlets or
brochures could be effective.
