Its my extreme privilege to recommend Mr. Kshitij Singh in support of his application to Master of Science in
Management Information Systems program at your university. I have seen various aspects of his growth and
performance while he was under my guardianship, which equips me to access his overall abilities including
technical and analytical proficiency.
At many instances, I have clearly seen Kshitijs ability to perform exceptionally well in several areas
of research activities and educational courses. His tactful analytical thought process in different practical
applications, be it a real life situation or an extremely complex project kept him a well-recognised among all
the faculty members. And with other superlative traits of high communication and interpersonal skills, I can
surely vouch on his level of understanding of different subjects that he encountered during his
undergraduate studies.
Kshitij has been highly involved in all of my classes of Generation, Transmission and
Distribution which was in their curriculum in fifth semester. His curiosity and extent of thoughts went way
above the basic theoretical studies which showed his high intellect levels. His ways of applying the
theoretical knowledge to all possible practical situations were highly thought provoking and detailed. Quite
often he tried to link the subject with the information technology systems, which had been his second most
preferred area of study outside the curriculum, in order to make the practical systems more user-friendly
across different domains and businesses.
His final year project done at the ABB Limited, Bangalore was a clear proof of his dexterity to
collaborate the information technology with electrical and electronics engineering. The project was
Substation Automation using IEC 61850 Protocol, an extremely unique one which provided an easy way to
integrate the information systems with the electronics. The objective of this project was the full integration
(Horizontal and Vertical) of IEC 61850 devices, or the ABB Advanced Relays into the Distributed Control
System (Extended Automation System 800xA). The project was specially designed for the newly extended
portion of Chettinad Cement Corporation, Karrikali, Tamil Nadu, India. With some highly intensive
Functionality Tests, Mock Drills and Field Effective Tests (FETs) over the newly developed ABB tools, he not
only engaged in the with the Automation with ABB employees, he was also chosen to be a part of the Site
Implementation team of the ABB, which was an example of his exemplary technical and leadership skills.
Under my guidance, with minimum supervision, Kshitij delivered few of the most phenomenal
mini projects and seminars based on the new and emerging technologies in and around the field of electrical
and electronics engineering. Apart from academics, he had a mastery in extra-curricular activities and with
much ease, he conducted and managed quite a lot of activities at different technical and annual fests like
Prakalpa and Aatmatrisha at Pesit, which were highly admirable and demonstrated his managerial facets.
I am sure that he will prove to be highly adroit in his further studies, and thus, would strongly recommend
you to offer an opportunity to Mr. Kshitij Singh for pursuing Master of Science in Information Systems
program at your elite university with suitable financial aid.
