La Asociacion Ifa Unidos de Puerto Rico (The Puerto Rico United Ifa Association)
Llamado a la Accion.
La Asociacion Ifa Unidos de Puerto Rico es una asociacion no-centralizada, compuesta de Babalawos
de varios linajes y casas de Ifa, respetando las tradiciones y rituales del linaje de cada miembro
(Tradicional Afro-Cubano y Tradicional Nigeriano), unidos en nuestro deseo de activismo y
mejoramiento para nuestra patria de Puerto Rico. Existimos para el proposito de unir a los creyentes de
Ifa/Oosa que deseen ser parte de actividades de activismo y bienestar en la comunidad puertorriquea y
su Diaspora en el mundo. De vez en cuando, esta Asociacion se unira en consenso para hacer
adivinacion y Ebo colectivo (sacrificio religioso) y ofrecerle al pueblo de Puerto Rico nuestros mejores
consejos, segun lo que nos indique el Oraculo de Ifa. Mas adelante, la Asociacion tambien puede
unirse a diversas causas sociales, segun los miembros deseen y acuerden.
Como primer acto como asociacion, hacemos un llamado al pueblo creyente Yorubista y al publico
general interesado, a una reunion agosto 20, 2016, a las 12:00 PM para hacer una gran adivinacion con
el Oraculo de Ifa sobre la situacion imperante de la Junta de Control Fiscal. La adivinacion se hara en
la Galeria Yemaya, 520 Andalucia, San Juan, 00920, cerca del Parque Luis Muoz Marin y la Ave.
Pieiro. Tendremos una breve explicacion de lo que es una adivinacion de Ifa, se haran las ceremonias
pertinentes, se le educara al pueblo sobre el consejo del Oraculo de Ifa y los sacerdotes de Ifa presentes
haran su trabajo sacerdocial durante el ceremonial del Ebo.
La Asociacion relata nuestro repudio a medidas anti-democraticas que no toman en cuenta los deseos
de la poblacion puertorriquea y que pone el enriquecimiento de ciertos bonistas sobre las necesidades
sociales, economicas, y politicas del pais. Consideramos, como Babalawos, que Ifa no aprueba las
medidas abusivas de un pueblo contra otro; que Ifa es bondad, amor, unidad, cooperacion y
comunicacion. Deseamos un futuro en donde los puertorriqueos puedan decidir ellos mismos sobre la
reconstrucion de su pais y establecer unas relaciones amistosas y no coloniales con el pueblo de los
Estados Unidos.
En ese espiritu, deseamos expresar nuestro apoyo a las gestas de todo los grupos organizados contra la
Junta de Control Fiscal y todos los grupos que entienden que nuestra patria no debe sufrir la condicion
del coloniaje. Hacemos un llamado a oposicion a la Junta de Control Fiscal de cualquier manera que la
gente desee expresarlo y en favor de medidas para la descolonizacion de Puerto Rico (e.g. Asamblea de
Estatus como mecanismo). Nosotros haremos nuestra parte ofreciendo educacion sobre las condiciones
socio-politica-economicas actuales, sobre los valores de Ifa para el comportamiento humano y para la
sociedad, y con activismo religioso que tenga como enfoque primario el mejoramiento de Puerto Rico y
el bienestar de su pueblo. Reiteramos que hacemos este llamado en un espiritu de hermandad y unidad,
sin deseos de protagonismo o exclusividad. Respetamos las decisiones personales de todos los
sacerdotes de Oosa e Ifa en la isla de Puerto Rico y las costumbres de sus respectivos Iles (casas
religiosas). Tambien, hacemos un acercamiento a Puertorriqueos de cualquier denominacion religiosa
o no religiosa que quieren colaborar para un mejor Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rico United Ifa Association
Call To Action
The Puerto Rico United Ifa Association is a decentralized association, composed of Babalawos of
various lineages and Ifa houses, respecting the traditions and rituals of the linage of each member
(Traditional Afro-Cuban or Traditional Nigerian), united in our desire of activism and betterment for
our homeland of Puerto Rico. We exist for the purpose of uniting the believers of Ifa/Oosa who desire
to be a part of activism and events for the well-being of the Puerto Rican community and its Diaspora
around the world. From time to time, this Association will unite in consensus to perform divination
and Ebo (religious sacrifice) and offer the people of Puerto Rico our best counsel according to the
indications of the Oracle of Ifa. In the future, the Association will also unite on behalf of diverse social
causes, depending on the desires and agreement of its members.
As our first act as an Association, we invite the Yoruba religious community of Puerto Rico and the
general public to a meeting on August 20, 2016 at 12 PM, where a collective divination with the Oracle
of Ifa will be performed by the organizing Babalawos regarding the prevailing situation in Puerto Rico
with regards to the US Fiscal Control Board imposed upon Puerto Rico. The divination will be
performed at the Galeria Yemaya, 520 Andalucia, San Juan, 0020, near the Luis Muos Marin park and
the Ave. Pieiro. We will have a brief explanation about what is a divination of Ifa, we will perform
the pertinent ceremonies, we will educate the public regarding the counsel of the Oracle of Ifa and the
priests of Ifa that will be present will perform their religious work during the ceremony of the Ebo.
The Association relates its denunciation of anti-democratic measures that do not take into account the
wishes of the Puerto Rican people and which place the enrichment of certain bondholders over the
social, economic, and political needs of the country. We consider, as Babalawos, that Ifa does not
approve the abusive measures of a nation over another; that Ifa is generosity, love, unity, cooperation,
and communication. We desire a future where Puerto Ricans can decide themselves how to reconstruct
their homeland and establish a friendly and non-colonial relationship with the people of the United
States.
In this spirit, we desire to express our support to all the efforts of all the organized groups against the
U.S Fiscal Control Board (PROMESA) and all of the groups that understand that our homeland should
not suffer being a colony. We encourage the people to oppose the U.S Fiscal Control Board in
whichever way they desire to express it and to be in favor of the decolonization of Puerto Rico (e.g.
Constituent Assembly to discuss Status options). We will do our part offering education regarding the
current socio-politico-economic conditions, regarding Ifa values/teachings on human behavior and
society, and with religious activism whose primary focus will be the well-being of Puerto Rico and its
people. We emphasize that we make this announcement in the spirit of brotherhood and unity, without
desires of protagonism or exclusivity. We respect the personal decisions of all the Ifa and Oosa priests
on the island of Puerto Rico and the customs of their respective Iles (religious houses). We also
express solidarity with any Puerto Ricans, of all religious denominations or non religious associations,
who want to collaborate for a better Puerto Rico.
