Photodesign Ad

Description: Ad made for DSW shoes.


Programs used: Adobe photoshop.

DSW

Objectives: Learn basic photography.


Take and crop a picture.
Learn how to adjust the coloring of a picture.

Designer Shoe Warehouse

Process: I took the picture with a Cannon Rebel


T4I. I altered the background color to match my
color scheme. I added text and color boxes.

Logo
Blossom Cupcakes
Description: This is a logo for a business that
will be created.

Blossom
Cupcakes

Objectives: Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator.


Create an attractive logo that uses the design
principles.

Process: I typed out the name, one word


on top of the other. I adjusted the kerning for
Blossom to better align the top with Cupcakes. I
used the ellipses tool to make the pedals of the
flower and then combined them together to look
like a flower.

Montage

Description: This is an ad that spreads the


idea that each day is new. Dont let the past
affect what today can do for you.
Objectives: Understand how to blend photos
and objects together.
Process: I used two images. I placed one as
the background. Then I placed the girl sleeping
underneath. I used the mask tool and set it on
black, allowing the background to come up.
I then placed the words across the top, in a
declining manner.

Event

Description: This event was for the hungry in


Haiti. I made up this event and this organization,
however if needed, I could change the
information.
Objectives: Learn how to create something in
Word documents.

Process: I scanned a photo from a magazine.


I placed the image in word. I created a
monochromatic color schemed boxes and
placed it on the page. I then added the text and
parenthesis.

Webpage

Description: This is a webpage of how I


created my logo.
Objectives: Understand HTML and CSS. Create
a website about how I made my logo.

Process: I created my logo. I wrote my text in


TextWrangler. I added an exisiting CSS document
into my HTML. I changed the colors to match my
logo. I changed the fonts to match the criteria. I
embedded my logo into the file.

Flier

Description: This Flier was to educate


graduates of an upcoming event meant to help
them prepare for their career.
Objectives: Learn the basics of Indesign. Learn
how to manipulate the basic shapes in black and
white.
Process: I created the layout and then placed
my photo into it. I added the text boxes and
added the logo provided.

Stationery

Description: The Stationery is my personal


stationery.

Objectives: Create a logo in Illlustrator and


then the stationery in Indesign. This project
incorporates both programs.

Process: I started out in Illustrator creating a


logo. The Logo was then transfered to Indesign

Description: Create a business card for a


company or person.
Objectives: Use illustrator to create the logo.
Use Indesign to create the business card.

Process: I created my logo with Illustrator. I


enbedded the logo with Indesign. I added the
blue as a completemtary color with the Pink and
beige. I added the same boarder as with the
stationery.

Brochure

10 attractions of Washington DC

Description: This brochure was meant to


persuade and inform to public about Washington
D.C.
Objectives: Learn to create a brochure in
Indesign

Process: I used Illustrator to create the


logo. I used photoshop to cut the pictures. I
used Indesign to design the brochure. I then
combined everything together.

1. National Mall: This is the


Nations park leading up to
the Washington Moment. It
is in the middle of many of
Washington D.C.s attractions.
The reflection is perfect for
those photographers looking to
snap a perfect shot.

7.John F Kennedy Center of Preforming


Arts: Musicals, ballet and theater
productions are played here. If the night
allows, stop by for an amazing experience.

2.Lincoln Memorial: This is


dedicated to Lincoln and all that he has done for the United States.
It is paired with beautiful architecture.
3.Smithonians: These museums offer many educational experiences
for all interests, allowing for more harmony on your trip.
4. White House: A trip would be incomplete without a visit here.
This houses the President of the United States.
5.United States Capitol: This is where all the legislative decisions
happen. If you are interested in politics and policies, this is a muststop stop.

8.Mount Vernon: The house of George


Washington is located on the Potomac
River. It offers a gorgeous view of the river,
with a historical building to explore.
9.Fords Theatre: Located in Washington
D.C., this theatre is where Lincoln was
assassinated. Before a show, they allow
customers to view a museum under the
theater to learn about how the President
was assassinated.
10. World War 2
Memorial: Visit
all who fought
and died for our
country.

6. National Museum of Natural History: This offers exhibits on Animals


and ecosystems, Earth Science, Human Diversity and Fossil History.
