Brochure
Description:

An hip brochure for a sports store . This store focuses


on the style around Tacoma Washington.

Objectives:

Learn to create a brochure using indesign,


illustrator, and photoshop and showcase your logo
skills in
adobe illustrator.

Process:

I started off by first by creating the ;ayout for my


brochure. I had the idea of using the name of the
city, across the offset of the front page going down.
So thats why i desided to use that layout.
Next I designed the cover by grabbing and cutting
out a photo to paste on the cover. I used
photoshop to do so and the brush tool. Lastly i used
illiustrator to create the desing behined him.
Also on the cover i got the background of the city.
Next I got the next three photos to add, and
also used the text wrap tool in adobe indesign.

Objectives:

Use my custom logo to create a professional


letterhead.

Process:

The process for this project was first to create the


layout of a letterhead. I looked at many different
examples before choosing my final design. Next i
decided to use a watermark. I changed the opacity
of my logo to do this. I then pasted my watermark
and made the letterhead look professional with my
information.

Objectives:

Create a new logo showcasing illustrator skills to fit a


company or personal image.

Process:

I started by opening up illustrator and playing


around with all the different tools. Next I looked up
online on how to design a skateboard since i deicded
on creating it for a skate shop. I used the rectangle
tool then rounded the edges to create a skateboard.
Then i used a grungy type of lettering for the title of
ALL-A-BOARD skateshop

Objectives:

My objective is to provide a business card that looks


appealing and professional.

Process:

I used the rectangle tool to create the front and back


outline of my business card. I then copied/pasted
the logo and contact information onto this page.
Next I made the card black and chose an analogous
color scheme. Next I made the logo and contact
information smaller to create whitespace. Lastly I
made sure everything was readable. Then I made it
the proper size.

Objectives:

Showcase photoshop skills and combine with skills in indesign


to create and show good color scheme.

Process:

I first checked out a camera capable of taking high quality


photos. I then waited for a time of the day where the sky
would compliment my photo. I then used the skills we
learned in class to take a picture using the rule of thirds. Next
i uploaded the photo and picked a color scheme. I added a
color that was complimentry. Lastly I added a military type
of font to make the flier.

Flier
Description:

Black & White promotional flier to promote a


graduate leadership conference.

Objectives:

Apply the design principles and use appropriate


typography.
Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic
flier layout.
Create a project folder with image, logo and
InDesign document to keep links intact.

Process:

Istarted this project by creating sketches of possible


designs. I then made sure in my sketches I would be
able to fit the all the information. After I inserted
and resized the image I added the text. I changed
the size of the text to create good whitespace on the
flier. Next i added borders to make the design more
professional. Lastly I made sure the quality of the
image is good resolution.

Event Ad
Description:

A color full-bleed event ad to promote a fundraiser


using only Microsoft Word and a scanner.

Objectives:

Find, scan and import a high-quality image.


Create a full-bleed design

Process:

I started this project by going to the libary and


finding quality images in a magazine. Being a
sports fan i looked through many sports illustrated
magazines. I then placed the image on the scanner
and found other images such as the sky to use as a
background for the image. I then used microsoft
word to create information for an event.. I chose
two different fonts to use that complemented the
picture and the theme. Lastly I entered in all the
information for the event.

Web Page
Description:

A web page designed to showcase a personally


created logo.

Objectives:

Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a


web page.
Write content to describe the process of creating your
logo and how it appeals to a target audience.
Design a web page using HTML to display a logo and
content.
Acquire a working knowledge of HTML and basic
understanding of CSS.
Identify hex colors for web design.
Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach
as one file.

Process:

I created this web page starting by looking up


differnt commands to use for html coding. I used the
key provided for us to show where to indent and use
head and body paragraphs. Then i added the text
in the correct spots making the headings big and
inserting my logo. I then used css to make my project
not so bland. I changed the padding and the fonts
to match the type of logo. Next I made all the colors
matchup using the paintdropper tool. Lastly I linked
my css to the html.

Objectives:

Demonstrate more advanced Photoshop skills for


layout with multiple elements and use a mask to
apply a filter to one part of the image.

Process:

I started this project by searching online for


something that crosses the paths of religion and
sports. I found a picture of one of my favorite players
praying. I used this photo and added a background
which i used masking to add a photo of a broken
down basketball court and a player at a high leel
giving thanks. The theme was to give thanks when
you make it big. I added a corss which the player
was looking up to. This added another layer to mask.
Lastly after all the photos are maked into the photo
I changed the colors to createt a color scheme within
the photo. Lastly I made sure all the edges blended
well.

My process for this project was to first select the photo


I will be using. Next i created layers and masked

changed the level of brightness in the photos. Lastly I
