I. Identify the problem
Miss Gemmy Avanzado a supervisor of Accounting
Department strongly considered to be promoted as
Department Manager, thus she need to learn some new skills
and knowledge. She also needs to prioritize her new duties
including planning and scheduling the work, monitoring
reports and advising the first-line supervisors of trouble
spots. Other than that she also need to be responsible and
accountable for appraising supervisors and trying to develop
them for promotion, although her contact with them was
limited to a morning group-briefing session and occasional
individual conferences. About of the promotion of Miss
Avanzado she received 10 days of coaching from Norgy
Gerard, her new General Manager. Norgy Gerard began to
hear complaints from the supervisors that Gemmy were not
very efficient. They complained that she kept them from their
work, holding long conversations, asking about their personal
life, patting them on the back but not giving them the
schedules until the last minute. As a result their work
schedules were lagging behind. Gemmy didnt complain
about it, but the supervisors were very much concerned.
II. Analyze the Problem
Miss Avanzado luckily promoted because she has an
outstanding character which particularly in communication
skills but in behalf of that theres a lot of things that she
needs to be considerate. More often, when she got her
promotion, she didnt realize that there are changes that she

will be encounter. Because of the changes her performance

became low and difficult to adjust. Although, Miss Avanzado
was promoted the result was unacceptable for her because of
more complaints.
III. Formulate solution
A. Know first the duties before you accept it.
B. Have determination, trust yourself and be positive of
whatever task will assign.
C. Always accept the changes and pursue anything that
can help to develop such skill.

V. Justify your solution

To make it more easily to understand, be eager to

learn more and could have strength to overcome the
entire struggle that came in to your life especially in
work. Somehow, out of all the chances we might have we
supposed to be seeker in all opportunity and faced it. In
the other way, dont be scared to make more effort for
you to become more efficient and productive.
