Building the Church

July 17-July 23

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed in my body and
my soul.
In Jesus name, Amen

I will hold on to my sure foundation, the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus

Christ.
I Peter 2:6
I am grafted into the family tree of God.
Romans 11:17
I will take the Gospel to all people; those who are like me and those
who are not.
John 10:16

Christ was sent as the first cornerstone of the church.

I am sending Christ to be the carefully Chosen, precious cornerstone

of the church. I Peter 2:6

Gods plan was always that Jesus would be the first son of His family but
there would be many more sons in His family. God compares his family
to a building with Jesus being the first stone laid, or the Chief
Cornerstone, of the church. We also become stones of the building
when we believe in Jesus as Gods Son. The Bible says all who trust in
Him as a foundation will never be sorry that they have believed. God
sent Jesus as a pattern for us to follow as He shapes our lives day by
day. He is working out ways for us to learn to please Him as much as
Jesus did.
When you get left out by friends or family, just remember that Jesus
was rejected too. Jewish leaders could not see that He was the Son
of God so they missed the chance to be close to Him. As followers of
Jesus we will be rejected like He and His disciples were. When this
happens we dont have to figure out Gods plan. Gods plan was that
Jesus love and obedience to His Father would be the example we
would follow.
In the world today it seems like many are not following Jesus pattern.
The whole world will be at peace one day, but right now the world is
in a time of great trouble. It is being shaken as it is written in the Bible
that men will be fainting from fear and the expectation of the things
which are to come upon the world; for the power of the heavens will
be shaken. All around us things are going on that we may not
understand. Even many Christians are being shaken up, but if we hold to
our sure foundation, the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus Christ; we can have
peace on the inside and help others trust God for their peace.
