and repacking of agricultural products such as pesticides was put up in 1974 by five young and innovative
businessmen
with
the
end
view
of
establishing a pesticides formulation company that would actively
respond
to
the
pest-control
needs
of
the
countrys
agriculture/farming sector.
All the company stocks were later acquired by Mr. Ador V. Oria, one of the original five incorporators, thus in 1989, Oria Agrotech became a family corporation. After more than 30 years in the pesticides formulation industry, Oria Agrotech not only takes pride of its experience but is also known for its unrelenting commitment to achieve quality and excellence in the delivery of its products.

he companys main office is located in Barangay Acop,
Rosales, Pangasinan where it maintains a fertilizer manufacturing plant. Its branch is located in Barangay Bigte,
Norzagaray,
Bulacan
where
its
pesticides
formulation/tooling unit is based. The Bulacan plant which houses
facilities for formulation and repacking chemicals products also includes a warehouse for raw and packaging materials which facilitates prompt and efficient handling of formulation materials.
To
facilitate
efficient
transactions
with
Metro
Manila-based
customer companies, Oria Agrotech, Inc., established a business
office at #22-C SitioMabilog , Culiat, Quezon City.
The companys plant and procedures have passed the standards
prescribed by the Fertilizer and Pesticides Authority (FPA), as it was granted level-3 license and accreditation since the late 1980s after a series of rigorous inspection conducted by a board of evaluation tasked by the FPA to ensure adherence to strict procedures and standards in the fertilizer and pesticides industry. The companys president and general manager, Mr. Ador V. Oria, is certified by the FPA as an Accredited Responsible Care Officer (ARCO).

Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). It is an active
member
of
the
Safety
Organization
of
the
Philippines, Inc. (SOPI) and regularly consults with
experts in the field occupational health and safety. The Bureau of
Fire Protection (BFP) of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) regularly issues upon Oria Agrotech, Inc. a Fire Safety Inspection Certificate.
In its noble desire to promote occupational health and safety, the
company maintains its own clinic manned by a licensed physician, a registered nurse, and a paramedical aide who monitor the health condition of all the workers.
In pursuit of achieving maximum benefits for its employees, Oria
Agrotech Inc. regularly coordinates with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). It is up to date in the remittances of employees contributions as members of the Social Security System (SSS) and PAG-IBIG Fund. It is also duly registered with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
KEY PERSONNEL OF ORIA
AGROTECH, INC. ADOR V.ORIA, president and general manager. Mr. Oria has committed his entire professional life in the fertilizers and pesticides formulation. He started as a mere laborer within an industry he has come to be familiar with for the past 46 years. With tenacity and sheer hard work and industriousness, he learned the dynamics and various strategies as
well as the opportunities, challenges and
problems affecting the industry. Prior to joining a group of young,

ambitious and determined men who decided to put up a tooling
company that will provide services to various fertilizer and pesticides distribution companies, Mr. Oria has already spent 11 years working in the industry. Thus in 1974, Mr. Oria assumed the critical task of Vice President for operations of a new fertilizer and pesticides formulation plant located in Norzagaray,
Bulacan.
Fifteen years later, Mr. Oria assumed total ownership of the entire company as his partners eventually decided to sell to him all their shares. Mr. Oria, a marketing graduate from the University of the East is duly accredited and has been granted permits by the Fertilizer & Pesticides Authority (FPA) and the Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR).
NARCISO S. DE GUZMAN, vice president. Mr. De Guzman was
among the original partners (co-owners) of Oria Agrotech, who was with the company since it began. For the past 35 years, he has been consistently instrumental in managing the financial and fiscal operations of the company. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), his say on matters concerning the companys finances and fiscal stability, is always heeded. ADRIAN R. ORIA, company secretary. A BS Biology graduate of Far Eastern University, Mr. Adrian Oria, right after graduation, immediately immersed himself in the conduct and completion of various administrative concerns of the company president as a trusted lieutenant. Through the years, he has extensively exposed himself with the various operations of the company thus fully gaining the trust and confidence not only of the president but of the Board of Directors as well. 7
PAQUITO V. ORIA, pollution control officer (PCO). Mr. Paquito was
among Oria AgroTechs first batch of employees. He has assumed various positions in the company and from the very start, has served as personal assistant to the president. His long period of service to Oria Agrotech has endowed him a high level of expertise concerning the companys operations particularly in the area of pollution control. He studied Chemical Engineering in one of the universities based in Manila.
ELMA M. ORIA, head of Finance & Personnel department. Ms. Oria
holds a degree in Business Administration & Management. She has occupied various positions in various finance departments of various companies based in Quezon City prior to joining Oria. Her background and exposure to audit systems provided her the necessary preparations and training that are helpful in her current task with Oria Agrotech.
PAUL ARJUNE P. OLAYRES I, chief of laboratory. Mr. Olayres holds
a degree in biology from the University of the Philippines in Los Baos. Upon graduation, he immediately sought employment in various drug companies in Metro Manila, thereby availing himself of an in-depth exposure to strict laboratory practices and procedures.
DR. MAHARLIKA CAPA DENSON, Medical Health Officer. She
graduated from Miriam College (formerly Maryknoll) with a degree 8
in Bachelor of Science in Psychology and completed her prerequisites at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
She
finished her degree in Doctor of Medicine at FEU-NRMF and took
the Medical Board Exam in 2007.
In pursuit of competence and
credibility, she has undergone four (4) years of residency training in
Internal Medicine and graduated in 2010. Dr. Denson brings to the employees of
Oria Agrotech utmost attention to their physical
welfare.
JOSELITO V. ORIA, plant manager. Mr. J. Oria studied civil
engineering and as such is totally aware of various scientific processes involved in the arena of production. Mr. Orias long years with Oria Agrotech and his constant training and seminars in the area of human resource management coincide with Oria Agrotechs great resolve to always achieve excellence and productivity.
DENIA B. SILAO, administrative assistant. Ms. Silao matriculated
in the New Era University and graduated with a degree in Education major in Mathematics. For years, she has proven both her effectiveness and competence in facing the challenge of meeting her day-to-day task of assisting the president in various matters involving the operations and management of Oria Agrotech, Inc.
ROWENA A. SAN DIEGO, industrial nurse. Ms. San Diego is a
registered nurse who underwent various seminars in occupational health and safety including one that was sponsored by the
University of the Philippines in Diliman. She is an active member of
the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SOPI).
