I am currently working at Georgia Highlands College, as Administrative Coordinator for the Information Technology Division and
Instructor of Freshman College Studies; in addition, I am pursuing my Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology with a degree
completion date of December 2016 from Georgia Southern University. I believe my experience coupled with my strong technology
skills make me the perfect candidate for this position.

Throughout my time at Georgia Highlands College, I have become comfortable designing and implementing training, curriculum, and
assessments in both the traditional, face-to-face classroom and in the distance education classroom via Blackboard Collaborate, as
well as having a good deal of experience coordinating FCST 1010. Ive collaborated with my peers on many projects during my tenure
as a Freshman College Studies instructor including teaching students both face-to-face and virtually, creating authentic assessments
for the course, updating the web page and Vista, and troubleshooting technology problems. You can view a course that I designed here:

I have both a high level of expertise with many types of technology and the ability to effectively teach others to use a wide variety of
technologies. Education is moving towards a distance education model and I feel that it is my duty to teach students the appropriate,
efficient, and impactful uses of technology. As an instructor, it has been my passion to collaborate with faculty to provide the optimal
learning experience for all students.
My time working at Georgia Highlands College has proven to be one of the most collaborative, challenging and rewarding
experiences of my career. Most importantly, I have had the privilege of getting to know and work with many students of varying ages,
abilities and backgrounds in the developmental classroom.
I fully understand the effort and obligations that are required to be successful in a position such as this and I am a dedicated and
enthusiastic professional who is passionate about education and assisting individuals with achieving their educational goals.
I feel that I am uniquely suited for this position. In addition to meeting the required qualifications, I also possess the personality traits
to thrive in a challenging, dual-responsibility role including adaptability and the ability to collaborate in a team setting or work
successfully alone. I have over ten years of combined experience, excellent customer service skills and I am an exceptional oral and
written communicator who works well in diverse environments.
