LogixPro is the ideal tool for learning the fundamentals of ladder logic programming. The look, feel and operation of LogixPro's
ladder rung editor so closely mimics Rockwell's world renown PLC editing software, that many need a second look to be sure
whose editor they're using. The aim this work is to design in LogixPro a ladder diagram to open and close a garage door with
one button operating a motor. As a result we find that the logic gates are an essential for this project. The ladder diagram is very
useful to simulate and give result to our problem. LogixPro is a tool which allows thousands of designs for a single problem.

I. INTRODUCTION
To facilitate the lives of people, every day it seeks to
develop new techniques of control. There have been a few
attempts to employ animation in teaching about PLCs.
A particularly notable one is an educational software
package called LogixPro, which utilizes animated simulations
of various processes, such as traffic control and batch mixing,
to show how a ladder logic diagram relates to an automated
process. Students can start and stop the animations, and study
the corresponding ladder logic for certain conditions or cases.
LogixPro's simulations are case-based and at a relatively
advanced level, however. Students who are just beginning to
learn about PLCs need a more complete, tutorial-like
instructional presentation that progressively introduces new
PLC concepts and utilizes animation as needed [1].
In this study, it was implemented with a single button to
operate a motor that can open and close a garage door.

METHODOLOGY

IV.

DISCUSSION

As worked on this project we find that logic gates were key

to solved the problem for the coordination of moves, for
example to open and close the door, gave the correct sing to
sensor normally open or in the other hand normally close and
active the motor.
V.

CONCLUSIONS

The ladder diagram was very useful to simulate and give

result to our problem. LogixPro is very friendly with the user
which allows thousands of designs for a single problem.

First of all, we know the signal of IN and OUT, in this case

the signal IN is our bottom Open and the signal Out is the
signal of our sensor normally open.
In the other hand, for our problem was already analyzed we
worked in the ladder diagram for open the door, after the first
idea completed, the next step to solve it was, how can we
return the signal to our sensor normally open and get the
control of the motor without burn it.

RESULTS

A description of the results obtained without any

explanation or interpretation of them. Visual aids such as
graphs, tables and maps may be used to summarize the results.
If raw data is to be included in the report, it should be placed
in an appendix rather than in the results section.
