WELCOME SPEECH

Good Afternoon!
A warm word of welcome to everyone as we are about to celebrate my daughter
Mary Katherines Christening and 1st birthday.
Thank you for coming today. It is a delight to have you with us and special thanks
to those who have traveled from afar.
Today is the very first milestone in my daughters life and I am absolutely sure that
she will have many, many milestones in the future --- the first walk, the first talk,
the first school, the first university and so on.
I just cant believe how time flies. And I have to thank God for giving my family
another blessing. MK is such a lovely little angel.
I want to take this opportunity to thank both sides of my family for their undying
support and prayers to my own family.
I also have a very special person I need to thank and that is my wife, Cathy for
the love, support and for giving me two of the best gifts any man can ask for my
children Jay-R and our birthday girl, MK. (insert spontaneous message of thanks)
So now, let's capture some magical moments. Let's create happy memories and
surround ourselves with laughter and friendship as we celebrate this special
occasion.

OPENING PRAYER

Dear God, Thank you for this wonderful day that you have given us to spend
with our family and friends. We are so thankful to be together to celebrate the
birth and life of my sister, Mary Katherine.
We thank you for the blessings you have made possible for its
successful preparation.
Bless the hands that had prepared this place. Bless the people who have
prepared the food diligently and lovingly with their hands.
Bless the organizers of this party so they may have more strength and zest to
continue bringing your love through parties like these.
We also pray that you bestow your blessing to everyone present in this room.
May we find joy and love through our meaningful interaction in this event.
We ask all these blessings in your mighty name, Oh Lord. Amen.

We are exceptionally blessed and fortunate for we shared this special day
