Pilot Regulator Servicing

Weep hole
indicates a
problem with
the pilot

C300 Fluid Control Valves

Valve Strip down


1.Remove Trim Pipe
2.Remove Actuator
On/Off Multi-way
(if fitted)

Slowly unscrew
adjusting sleeve
to release spring
tension

3. Remove 4 x Nuts from


the centre block studs
and remove Pilot.

4. Remove remaining
nuts and withdraw
manifold blocks.

Compression Spring 3-7 bar (blue)
P.T.F.E Washer - 2 off

Mark hole positions in line


with locating pins

Piston Preparation

Mark the position of the


locating holes on the piston
to assist with assembly

Fit O ring to piston and


coat with red rubberlube

Rolling diaphragm Preparation

1. New diaphragm is
un-coated on the outside.
2. Turn inside out.

3. Place on piston then slide


support down spindle.

Spring housing

1. Align locating pins / holes


and slide housing down shaft and
over diaphragm ensuring that
location pins are engaged.
2. Make sure fixing holes in the
diaphragm and housing are aligned,
slight rotation of the piston may be
required.

Beaded Diaphragm preparation

1.Turn beaded diaphragm


inside out.
2. Coated side to be outside.
3. Place over end of spindle.

Correct assembly is essential.

NOTE: Wetted surfaces
are coated surfaces

Rolling diaphragm pressure chamber

1.Place spindle on shaft.


2. Roll down diaphragm as
shown.
3. Hold spindle and tighten
nut tightly.

1.Apply rubber lube to diaphragm.


2. Align location pin / hole and
lower ball housing onto studding.

Apply rubberlube to ball bearing to assist location in Centre Block

Prior to refitting the


Manifold blocks fit O
rings to sensing
ports.

Remove blocks and fit new O rings and strainer

Lubricate beaded
diaphragm
(cotton reel)
with rubberlube

Fit new Beaded diaphragm prior to assembly

Fit manifold blocks to valve body

Current models have a location pin - on earlier models


ensure that the strainer is located at the valve inlet

Pilot and Centre Block Assembly

Pump Control Valve

Refit 4 x Nuts to
the centre block studs.

Re-fit trim pipe-work

Speed of Response Adjustment

Restrictor

Adjustment by special tools


Insertion/Removal Tool

Adjusting Tool
R1 Inlet - 4 turns out
R2 Cavity - 6 turns out

R3 Outlet 4 turns out

Pressure adjustment
Adjusting Sleeve

Lock nut
Standard Spring (blue) 3 - 7 bar range - 0.136 bar per turn
Special Spring (black) 5 - 17 bar range - 0.42 bar per turn
