Biserial correlation is used when one variable is ordinal and other is
continuous.
phi correlation
In statistics, the phi coe cient is a measure of association for two
binary variables. Introduced by Karl Pearson, this measure is similar
to the Pearson correlation. Phi correlation and Cramer's V is used
when both variables are nominal. Phi is used when both variables
are dichotomous while Cramer is used when one or both variables
have more than two category. Both are based on Chi square test.
eta correlation
Eta coe cient when squared acts as a measure of e ect size, i.e.
what % of DV is explained by IV.

spearman correlation
Correct. Its rank order correlation coe cient, equivalent of
Pearson's r.
