Abu Jahl Could Not See The Holy Prophet may

Allah send peace and blessings upon Him (A
Quranic Story)
It is reported that when Surah Lahab was revealed, in a fit of anger the wife of
Abu Jahl, whose name was Umme Jameel left her house carrying a large stone
with the purpose of killing the Holy Prophet peace be upon him. At that
moment in the Haram shareef, the Holy Prophet peace be upon him was busy
reciting the Quran in salah and Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr may Allah have
mercy on him was also sitting near him. As she entered the Haram shareef, she
completely walked past the Holy Prophet peace be upon him and came
directly to the Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr may Allah have mercy on him. Her
mouth was frothing with anger and she said to him, "Where is your Prophet, I
have come to know that he has insulted me and my husband." She then began to
walk around the Haram shareef looking for the Holy Prophet peace be upon
him but for some reason she could not see him reading the Salah right in front
of her. She then started to leave the Haram shareef and informed Hadrat

Sayyiduna Abu Bakr may Allah have mercy on him, "I brought this stone to
crush the head of your Prophet, yet it is tragic that I cannot not see him."
When Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr may Allah have mercy on him revealed
to the Holy Prophet peace be upon him this incident, he replied, "She had
walked past me many times, however, there was an angel which appeared
between me and her which created a veil between us. Due to this, no matter how
much she tried to search for me, she could not see me.
(Tafseer Khazaainul Irfaan p. 415).
In Surah Bani Israeel, verse 45, the Quran declares:

And O beloved! When you recited the Quran, We placed between you and
those who do not believe in the Hereafter, a hidden veil.
Even though she continued to peer and look, she could not see him standing in
front of her. This was certainly one of the miracles of the Holy Prophet peace be
upon him. Many such miracles were displayed by the Holy Prophet peace be
upon him and at the same time, the Awliya have also displayed many miracles
and all these miracles of the Awliyah are actually part of the miracles or Mo'jiza
of the Holy Prophet peace be upon him himself, because they are part of his
Ummah.
