Brief description

The project involves the establishment of a food processing plant which would process and can food
products such as sausage, ham, bacon, corned beef, luncheon meat, caldereta, tocino, etc. with an
annual capacity of 24,000 to 36,000 kilograms of processed finished canned products. The project
will employ 30 skilled workers and technicians. The establishment of a food processing plant in Passi
City is a good investment opportunity since this is the first of its kind in the province of Iloilo. The
province has a stable supply of livestock and sufficient supporting transport facilities from neighboring
municipalities.

2 Fruit Processing Plant

Brief description

The Project entails the establishment of a processing plant for fresh fruits such as pineapple, banana,
papaya and johey oak (marang) into dried fruits. The project will employ 20 skilled workers and
technicians. The primary products which would be produced are dehydrated fruits and its by-product
is vinegar. The estimated average annual production capacity is 48,000 packs using 32 metric tons of
raw materials of different fruits. The City of Passi has a wide plantation of different kinds of fruits
having an estimated land area of 600,000 hectares.

3 Muscovado Sugar Mill Project

Brief description

The project entails the establishment of a sugar mill which produces Muscovado sugar, an organic
raw brown sugar purely made from sugarcane juice. It is pure, 100 percent natural, brown in color,
moist and strong molasses flavor, produced from fresh sugarcane juice without the use of any
chemicals. The proposed sugar mill has a minimum production capacity of 90 tons per month in a
production milling area of 3,000 square meters. It uses boilers, jacketed stainless kettles, stainless
sugar mill and crystallizing tables for production machineries and will employ 30 skilled workers and
technicians. The Muscovado sugar mill also produces cane vinegar, rum (alcohol) and bio-degradable
containers as its by-products. The demand for the use of organic sugar (Muscovado sugar) is globally
increasing especially for commercial uses such confectionery and pastries. The demand and price of
Muscovado sugar is projected to increase in the near future especially in Japan, South Korea and the
European countries.

4 Property Development Project

Brief description

The proposed Residential and Commercial Estate Development Project involves the development of
commercial and residential estate in Passi City. The project has an estimated total land area of 19
hectares or 190,000 square meters of which 57,000 square meters or 30 percent is for the
provision for amenities and utilities such as roads, parks, etc. The remaining 133,000 square meters
or 70 percent would be the areas for sale, composed of 40 lots for commercial areas with an
estimated lot size of 1,000 square meters. A total of 465 lots would be sold as residential lots with
areas of 200 square meters. It is located along the International Bank on Reconstruction
Development (IBRD) Expressway. It is also the city's business growth center where all major
developments are concentrated and approximately six (6) kilometers from the city proper.

5 Sports Academy Project

The project involves the establishment of a Sports Academy through the construction of additional
sports facilities in the University of San Agustin and improvement of existing facilities to cater to the
program offerings on sports development. The academy would offer certificate courses and training
programs in sports management and sports coaching, among others. It would provide training for
coaches and athletes (individual and team sports), organize summer camps and sports clinics,
provide a venue for sports stores and sports-related events.

6 Convention Center Project

Brief description

The proposed site is within the New Legazpi City Urban District which is part of the reclaimed land
from the Albay Gulf, adjacent to Legazpi City Boulevard. This is a multi-purpose facility would be used
for conventions, seminars, meetings banquets, receptions, trade shows, retreats, performances, plays
and mini concert. The convention center will have an approximate floor area of 7,644 square meters
and will cover a total gross area of 13,760 square meters. Estimated time of completion is 5 years.
The number of conventions, seminars, trainings, meetings and other related events in Legazpi City
continue to rise because of the booming tourism industry. Legazpi City has a number of important
strengths which include its central location, proximity to several major markets, perception of safety,
and affordability.

7 Reclamation Project

Brief description

The proposed project is a 15-hectare reclamation (Phase I -A) along the coastline of Barangay DapDap and will involve modifying the coastlines to convert them into usable and productive land. The
reclaimed area will be called "The New Legazpi City Urban District". The new area can accomodate a
wide range of specialty restaurants, hotels and structures for convention and entertainment uses. The
project will be completed in 18 months and will employ 150 skilled and non-skilled worker.

8 Retirement Village cum Business Resort

This project involves the construction of a retirement village cum business resort with state-of-the art
amenities, modern facilities and the comfort of modern living. The Retirement Village will cover a total
area of 20.80 hectares which includes 12 apartment buildings, 30 two-storey building residential units
with a commercial center. Retirement village has been widespread and very popular in western
countries and now their popularity is starting to spread in the Philippines. Data shows that there are
only three (3) existing retirement villages that cater to the needs of foreign and domestic retirees in
the Philippines. With the growth in elderly population worldwide, Legazpi City is in a great position to

9 Redevelopment of Gen San City Central Public Market

The project involves the redevelopment of the General Santos City Public Market (CPM). The CPM is
located in a 20,450 square meters prime lot owned by the city government. The project has two
options: Option A is the total redevelpment that entails total demolition of the existing CPM structure

redevelopment with conservation of the existing structure. General Santos City, the metropolitan

10 Integrated Food Terminal wth Abattoirs

Brief Description

The Food Terminal will be a major market outlet for fresh fruits and vegetables produced in the city
catering to large and institutional buyers such as supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, food
processors and large trader dealing with markets in other cities such as Cebu, Davao and Manila.
The proposed Abattoirs will have two components. Building A is proposed to be class "AA" Cattle
Abatoir with provisions for upgrading in the future to class "AAA" for cattle line, goat and sheep line,
while building B is proposed to be designed, constructed, equiped and operated to meet the
requirement for a class "AAA" Hogs Abattoir. With its strategic location, General Santos City is
considered as the metropolitan center of Region 12, and the Tuna Capital of the Philippines. With its
international standard port and airport, it is the regions transshipment hub to other parts of the
country and the rest of the world.

11 Bicol River Cruise

The LGUs would collectively establish the downstream of the Bicol River cruising experience. The
cruise starts with Camaligan, being the port of origin, has a boulevard and promenade which can
open restaurants, entertainment bars, cafe, guest lounge, fruit stands, retail and souvenir shops.
Onboard experiences includes dining with a wide choice of native cuisine, entertainment featuring
local talent, guided tour and exploration of the historic river. Docking at Gainza's heritage village,
visistors will be treated to simulation of the local way of life, such as bayanihan in house relocation,
rice planting and harvesting: talangka processing; wedding customs such as pantomina; and fishing.
Landing at Canaman, visitors will be given a tour of the Tangcong Vaca Guerilla Unit (TVGU) founding
site. Visitors would cruise around Magarao's Doncilla Island - home to a variety of migratory birds.
Disembarking at Ponong, Magarao, visitors can enjoy the panoramic view of the river delta at the
viewing deck. Souvenir items would be available at the shops located in all destinations.

12 Cultural Heritage Tourism Circuit

Project Description

The Metro Naga Development Council, together with LGU Libmanan, has conceptualized a tourism
circuit project geared to spur tourism and local economic development.
Libmanan would establish itself as northern Camrines Sur's cultural heritage destination. Initially, the
project would involve two components : (1) the Handiong expedition river cruise through the
Libmanan river, its tributaries and islands islets; and (2) inland tourism to include development of two
ancestral houses into heritage hotels, and the enhancement of nature adventures sites.

13 Curry Natural Reserve Tourism Circuit

Project Description

The Municipality of Pili, being one of the 7 LGUs which has political jurisdiction over Mount Isarog
Natural Park (MINP) and a holder of a Special Use Agreement in Protected Areas (SAPA) from the
Department of Environmental and Natural Resources for 175 hectares located in Sitio Boncao,
Baranggay Curry, is deemed a suitable venue for the MNDC's ecotourism segment. The project
intends to develop an eco-trail, a resort and events venue, a camp site, team building facilities and
tour packages anchored on the Pili-administered section of the MINP. This area also features eight (8)
pristine waterfalls shrouded by a triple-canopy forest. The existence of rice terraces pockets in
Baranggay Curry farming communities and the war years points of interest, including the Japanese
cenotaph and wartime tunnels.

14 Milamina Colonial Cruise

Project Description

The Upstream Bicol River along the towns of Milaor and Minalabac would be rehabilitated and two
cruise stations would be constructed. In Milaro, there will be a wharf at Matungao Island, while the
existing boulevard would be expanded going to their very own Ebarcadero. The Minalabacon would
develop a floating restaurant featuring cuisine distinct to the town. A riverside historical complex /
plaza with wharf would be constructed to house the Gen. Ludovico Arejola historical marker and
diorama exhibit honoring the heroism of the Bicolano revolutionaries during the Filipino-American War.

Brief description

Construction/operation for a barging business/service at the Freeport Area of Bataan will answer the
growing need for more cost efficient and faster delivery of goods to/from the FAB from/to the
international ports of Manila (or even as far as HongKong). In servicing more than 70 locators and
additional incoming locators, the barging operations will provide an alternative route that will cut time
(and therefore cut cost and delivery time). It will also boost further development of the FAB as an
industrial zone hosting manufacturing industries like garments/apparel, accessories and shoes. The
FAB possesses deep harbor points where barging operations can be located. Only less than an hour
away from Manila, the barging operations will surely promote/generate businesses in both side of the
Manila Bay. FAB is also near the Bataan Refinery Company/Petron as well as an industrial zone for
petro-chemical plants.
