Week 6:
(Monday Friday)
It was my third week and I start my lesson on this week after two weeks of
orientation. Through my first lesson I able to identify that some of the children are
able to hold the pencil and some cannot. Besides that, the difference between children
attention compare to orientation weeks and lesson weeks. There are children were
enjoyed and happy in orientation weeks of art and craft activities. And some of the
children are get bored from the lesson and also in when theyre in writing.
Moreover, I have a many challenges to teach the children to understand. So my
principal guide me such as if the children going to learn numbers, shapes, colors or
alphabet on the days let the children to watch audio visual about the numbers, colors,
shapes and alphabet and let to make happy and make them involved it that. Besides
that, she ask me to do after the audio visual let the children to play through flash cards
as a games. So, I mix-up all the alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors ask them to pick
up the according to my instruction. They were really happy to pickup the mixing
alphabets, shapes, numbers and colors.
Other than that, I try my best to teach the children until they understand. Because,
some of them are totally do not have attention. They were only involved in play base.
Lastly, the sad incident of the week is a child from my class name ayomidie. She got
said to his parents that I got pull his ears. So, his parents call to my principal talk
about the incident. After that, my principal were call me and asked nanthini did you
pull ayomide ears whether I do it or not. It was really make me sad that Im didnt do
anything but I get a bad name from the incident. But my principal understood the
situation and she did not take a big issue of it.

Week 4: 26-1-2016 28-1-2016
(Tuesday Thursday)
It was my last week of first month. I cant imagine because its already one month I
worked as a teacher there. And it was my second week of lessons. Through this week
I able to identify some of the children its really very smart and able to write,
recognize words. Even though some can, the others are with no improvements in
writing and speaking skills.
Moreover, on this Thursday my principal was busy so she asked me to handle the
three and four years old children at the same time. There are 17 children of them. Its
make me very emotionally and struggle to handle them. If I settle one of the children
the others are running, fighting, and doing messy of the play materials. It was really
very hard for me to manage.
But it was a good lesson too for me to that how to handle the children at all the time.
Some more, it improves me and helps me to gain knowledge and responsibility of the
children.

Week 5: 1-2-2016 5-2-2016
(Monday Friday)
Based on my 5th week and second month of practicum I had learn knowledge and
observed many incidents to handle it. First chops for the books. The chops are given
me by the principal to chop on the children schoolbooks and message such as: teacher
signature, parents signature, absent, homework and homework not done. Whenever
the children are not coming to school or absent we need to chop on the books. It was
my most favorite job compare to other job. I really like to put a chop on the books.
Moreover, we are celebrating the Chinese New Year celebration through storytelling
and art and craft activities. First we are doing a storytelling through the upin ipin
Chinese New Year celebration cartoon to let the children to watch. Because it can
attract the children and more helpful to understand about the Chinese New Year
celebration compare to we are telling as a story to them.
Lastly, the child is that I mentioned on second week yogalakshmi. She is still want
to follow me whenever I go around. If the teacher never let her to follow me she will
start crying and shouting until she want me. So another child from my class was
observed the yogalakshmi and he also doing the same as she dong to me. He also
never let me to go anywhere and he was pulled my hand to sit beside he. It was really
make me sad and I really cannot concentrate to other children.
