en ingls no existe una version formal y otra informal para referirse a alguien en
la segunda persona. Es decir, mientras que en espaol utilizamos usted (formal)
y t (informal), en ingls slo utilizamos you para ambos casos. A pesar de esto,
existen ciertas expresiones que se utilizan de manera formal y en especial
cuando uno conoce a alguien por primera vez.
A continuacin presentamos las formas de saludar en ingls ms comunes:

Good afternoon - Buenas tardes
Good evening - Buenas noches (Nota: Good night slo se utiliza para
despedirse de alguien en las horas de la noche; 'Good evening' se utiliza para

Pronombres personales.
Los pronombres personales en ingls son tambin conocidos como pronombres
personales sujetos o nominales. Son aquellos que refieren a las personas
gramaticales. Son: I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they. Aqu encontrars ejemplos
traducidos al espaol.

you (i) - t / usted
he (j) - l
she (sh) - ella
it (it) - l /ello / ella (objeto)
we (u) - nosotros / nosotras
you (i) - ustedes / vosotros
they (di) - ellos / ellas
Preguntar informacin.
Hay dos tipos de preguntas basicas: preguntas de s o no (preguntas cerradas),
y preguntas informativas o abiertas. Estas se llaman as porque no es possible
contestarlas con un simple s o no requieren ms informacin. En
realidad, el nmero de respuestas posibles es sin lmite. En ingls se llaman Whquestions porque todas las palabras interogativas comienzan con las
letras Wh(con la excepcin de la palabra HOW).

Who y whom se usan para obtenir informacin sobre una persona o unas
personas.

Con quin est saliendo?

Est saliendo con Anna.

La diferencia entre who y whom casi no existe ya. De todos modos,

gramaticalmente who se usa para el sujeto meintras whom se usa para el
complimento del objeto directo o indirecto. La mayora de los anglfonos
americanos ya no usan whom. Aprenda ms sobre who y whom .
