Democracia organizacional, stakeholders


e a gesto poltica das organizaes

Resumo
A teoria dos stakeholders oferece inmeros modelos estratgicos de gesto e de
comunicao que insistem no carcter crescentemente poltico das organizaes, em
particular na ideia de que j no ser hoje suficiente falar em gesto mas na governao de
mltiplas vozes com direitos e interesses constitudos, ou a constituir, face s organizaes
(isto , uma gesto poltica das organizaes). Seja na verso associada procura de mais
democracia organizacional, seja, pelo contrrio, na verso assumidamente instrumental de
conferir prioridade a interesses poderosos, legtimos ou urgentes, a gesto e a comunicao
com stakeholders preocupam-se com uma mesma questo de fundo quem deve poder
intervir, e como, na formao e tomadas de deciso em organizaes da esfera dos
negcios, da esfera pblica e da economia social. O nosso projecto de investigao
prope-se acompanhar e avaliar, com clara inspirao no modelo dos stakeholders, prticas
de democracia nas organizaes e o seu contributo quer para a formao de ambientes de
trabalho mais colaborativos, quer para a criao de valor econmico, financeiro ou
reputacional. Exploramos ainda limitaes ao exerccio da democracia na prpria
organizao ou na rede de relaes que esta mantm com outras instituies, pessoas e
comunidades.

Rogrio Ferreira de Andrade doutorado em Cincias da Comunicao pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa e
actualmente professor no Departamento de Cincias da Comunicao da mesma universidade. Os seus
interesses preferenciais de ensino e de investigao so os Estudos organizacionais; Comunicao
estratgica; Processos de sentido nas organizaes (identidades, imagens e reputaes); Discursos e
narrativas organizacionais; Media, novos media e ambientes crticos das organizaes; Movimentos sociais e
campos da aco estratgica; Democracia organizacional e abusos.
