Project Title: Proposed Clark Wellness Hotel

and Shopping Center
Brief Introduction
As years pass many developers continue
to create projects to help people give businesses
and citizens a more livable and sustainable
environment. Different structures from residential,
commercial, institutional and industrial are being
constructed to meet up with the changing needs of
the people. One of these developers envisions a
bigger and brighter community and that is the
Bases and Conversion and Development Authority
(BCDA) which is about to make yet another
anticipating project that will soon rise in Capas,
Tarlac.
Capas is a 1st Class municipality and the
tourism center of the province of Tarlac. It is located
100 kilometers north of Metro Manila and can be
reached by a 30-minute ride from the Diosdado
Macapagal International Airport in Angeles City or
an hours drive from the Ninoy Aquino International
Airport. Capas is strategically located within the
Luzon Urban Beltway and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac
growth corridor that connects the province with the
Subic Freeport Zone and the Clark Special
Economic Zone.
Clark Green City is located in the Clark
Special Economic Zone in Capas, Tarlac. BCDA
hopes to establish a new city that promotes healthy
coexistence between nature and urban living, and
more importantly, uplifts its human capital to reach
its full potential in an enabling environment and that
is what Clark Green City will be providing us. Clark
Green City is the new economic frontier of the
country. It will be built where green assets that will
be interwoven to create a holistic and sustainable
development. It is BCDAs vital contribution to
decongest Metro Manila, absorb population growth,
but more importantly, sustain the countrys
economic performance, being considered one of
Asias fastest growing economies. It has a total
development area of 9,450 hectares which will be
subdivided into sectors, the residential zone,
commercial zone, innovation district and industrial
zone.
The commercial sector of the Clark Green
City which is located at the heart of the
development area. It will cater a wide variety of

structures such as banks, malls and other

businesses that will offer a complete range of goods
and services. With mixed-used buildings the
development of commercial facilities will be
compact and walkable from the residential zones
and institutional zones.
As a part of the commercial sector the
proposed Clark Wellness Hotel and Shopping
Center will be accommodating many tourist from
the different tourist attraction near the Clark Green
City which includes the famous Mt. Pinatubo crater,
ATV Adventure, Tambo Lake, Mt. Telakawa, Capas
National Shrine and the Death March Monument. It
will also provide a shopping center below the hotel
that will accommodate different retail companies to
promote and sell a wide variety of their products.
The proposed wellness hotel and shopping center
will be also a great part of the contributing bodies
for the boosting of the countrys economic income
that will attract more local and foreign investors in
the country.
In line with the vision of Clark Green City,
the proposed Clark Wellness Hotel and Shopping
Center will be accommodating a large number of
tourists from different parts of the country and even
foreign tourists from all over the world. Being
located near the Clark International Airport many
tourists will be needing a temporary place to stay
and relax as they enjoy the different tourist spots
near them. It will be providing a wide range of
amenities that will replenish the energy of the
visitors of Clark Green City who will be engaging in
the different activities offered by it. The project will
also be providing a huge number of job
opportunities to the local citizens of Tarlac. The
proposed wellness hotel and shopping center will
help promote a healthy and fit lifestyle, promote the
tourism of Capas, and at the same time it will help
uplift the economy of Tarlac.
Statement of the Problem
Capas, Tarlac is famous for many tourist
attractions such as the Mt. Pinatubo crater, ATV
Adventure, Tambo Lake, Mt. Telakawa, Capas
National Shrine and the Death March Monument.
Capas has been one of the choice location for local
and foreign tourist for fun and unforgettable
experience. Being busy for its various range of fun
and adventurous activities it continuously stretches
out and grows to meet and accommodate ta large
number of tourists and to meet with the different
needs of the tourists there is a need of

accommodation facilities and structures in the

place.
Most of the hotels in Tarlac is located in
Tarlac City. There are only two accommodating
facilities near the area of the Clark Green City and
these are the Jason Garden Inn and Resort and the
Mr. Blue Hotel and Travelers Inn. These facilities
are not enough to accommodate the increasing
number of tourists that visit Capas, Tarlac especially
in peak seasons and now that BCDA is developing
a large portion of Capas for their Clark Green City.
Another issue is that shopping malls are also in far
distance with the development area. The nearest
shopping malls in Capas, Tarlac is already in Tarlac
City. It will be inconvenient to travel for a long
distance to buy goods. Accommodation facilities
and commercial or retail establishments are very
important in a community especially for tourists that
are temporarily visiting the place and that what
lacks in the area where the Clark Green City will be
developed.
Project Goal
The goal of the project is to create a
wellness hotel and shopping center that will
accommodate a large number of tourists or visitors
who will be temporarily staying in the area of
Capas, Tarlac. The proposed project aims to
provide the needs of the people in Clark Green City
and aspires to redefine the lifestyle of the next
generation by helping to promote a positive outlook
on health and wellness. Most importantly it aims to
offer guests a remarkable experience of
accommodation and relaxation that will make them
feel as if theyre in the comfort of their own homes.
Project Objectives
The objectives of the project are
the following:

To accommodate a large number of

tourists and guests visiting the different
tourist spots in Capas, Tarlac and Clark
Green City
To achieve a high quality of design that
can compete to world-class hotels in and
out of the country
To design a smart, efficient and
sustainable hotel that can maximize the
full potential of the site

To improve quality of life and providing job

opportunities to the Filipinos
To promote and boost the economy and
tourism of Capas, Tarlac and the country
