Safety Precaution
This STB has been designed and manufactured to satisfy the international
safety standards. Please read the following safety precautions carefully before
operating this receiver.
Main Supply:
Before operating, please check the units operating voltage is 90~250V AC
50/60Hz.
Overload:
Do not overload a wall outlet, extension cord or adapter, neither use damaged
power cord or touch it with wet hand as this may result in electric shock.
Liquid:
The receiver shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water, and that no
objects filled with liquids, such as base, shall be placed on the apparatus.
Ventilation:
Keep the slots on top of the receiver uncover to allow sufficient airflow to the
unit. Do not put the receiver on soft furnishings or carpets. Do not expose the
receiver to direct light or do not place it near a heater or in humid conditions.
Do not stack other electronic equipments on top of the receiver.
Cleaning:
Plug out the receiver from the wall outlet before cleaning. Clean the receiver by
a soft cloth or mild solution of washing-up liquid (no solvents).
Connection:

Disconnect the receiver from the mains when you connect it to satellite LNB or
disconnect it from LNB. Failure would possibly cause damage to the LNB.
Location:
Put the receiver indoor in order to avoid lightening, raining or sunlight.
Uncover:
Do not remove the cover, to reduce the risk of electric shock. Contact
qualified and licensed service personnel to repair the receiver, or contact your
dealer.

You can connect one fixed dish LNB directly to the LNB IN, or connect at least
two dish LNB by DiSEqC Switch.

IV. Installation
You should installation the receiver when powering on your product for the first
time after purchase.

Tip: The default password is 0000. If you have forgotten your password,
please contact your local product distributor.

Connect the power cord of the product to a wall outlet.


Ensure the ON/OFF switch at the rear of the product is switched to ON.
Power on by pressing the POWER button on the remote control or the

STANDBY button at the front of the product.

4.2 Antenna Setting for Satellite


Antenna Setting allows you to configure the antenna setting parameters.
Menu->Installation ->Antenna Setting

Satellite: Highlight the

satellite you want to search.

Transponder: Press the

/ button to change the TP.


3.

LNB Freq.: Press the

/ button to change the LNB


frequency.

DiSEqC Type: Press the

/ button to select the required DiSEqC1.0 input.

DiSEqC 1.1: Press the / button to select the required DiSEqC1.1

input.

Network search: Select ON or OFF to set if you want to implement

network search.

4.3 Search Channels from Satellite


4.3.1 Satellite Search
1.

Highlight the satellite and press the OK button.

Complete the antenna setting of this satellite.

Press the BLUE button to start search.

Tip: You can select multi satellites to search at the same time. And you can
execute Delete, Add, Rename, or Move functions in this menu according to
the help information.

4.3.2 TP Search

Highlight the satellite and

According to the help information, you can start TP search.

Tip: You can select multi transponders to search at the same time. And you

4.3.3 Blind Search

Highlight the satellite or add a new satellite and press the OK button.

Press the YELLOW button to start blind search.

After searching, it will save all the transponders automatically.

4.4 Antenna Setting for Motor


Menu->Installation ->Antenna Setting->Motorised System

Motor Mode:

Select DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS


using the / button.
DiSEqC 1.2: General motor
antenna using DiSEqC 1.2.
USALS: Motor antenna using
USALS.

Satellite:

Select the satellite which you want to setup.


3.

Transponder:

Select one TP which has signal.


4.

Position Auto:

Press the / button, the motor will drive automatically until it gets the signal.
5.

Continuously Move:

The motor can drive only when you hold on pressing the / button.
6.

Step Size:

Set the driving step.


7.

Move Steps:

Press the / button, the motor will drive several steps according to the Step
Size.
8.

Limit Set:

You can set the maximum motor limit for both East and West to prevent
damage to the antenna. When you set Disable the Motor limit setting is
released.

Command Type:

Save Position: Save current position of Motor.

Go to Reference: Drive Motor to zero point.

4.6 Factory Default


You can restore the product to the factory default and you can also setup it
according to the wizard.
Warning: Please note that once you perform Factory Default all, all data and
settings will be deleted.

V . Basic Operation
5.1 Audio
You can select the language you prefer in Audio if the current programme is
available in multiple audio
languages.

Press the AUDIO button.

select the audio language you


prefer.

Press the EXIT button to close.

5.2 Zoom In
You can zoom in the current video picture.

zoom in.

5.3 Satellite List


You can select or hide the satellite that you want.

Press the SAT button.

Highlight the satellite that you want.

Press the OK button, then it can enter the channel list which only includes

Press the RED button to hide or show the satellite. If it is hidden, the

channels of this satellite will be hidden in the channel list.

5.4 EPG
You can view the EPG information of all channels in time and date order.

Press the EPG button.

Press the RED button to switch EPG mode between Weekly EPG and

Day EPG.
Weekly EPG:
1)

Press the OK button to

switch between EPG list and


channel list.
2)

Press the / button to

change channel or EPG event.


3)

Press the / button to

change the date, and it


displays the EPG list in one day of the highlighted channel.
4)

Highlight the EPG event

which you want, press the


GREEN button to enter Timer
Setup menu. After setup, press
the OK button can add the
EPG event to the Timer.
Day EPG:

Press the / button to

change channel.
2)

Press the / button to change EPG event of the highlighted channel.

Press the BLUE button to display the detail information of the highlighted

Highlight the EPG event which you want, press the GREEN button to

enter Timer Setup menu. After setup, press the OK button can add the EPG
event to the Timer.

5.5 Subtitle
You can select the language for the subtitle if the programme provides subtitle
information.

Press the SUB button.

Select the required subtitle language and press the OK button. The

subtitle will be displayed in the selected language at the bottom of the screen.

5.6 Teletext
You can view the teletext
information of this
programme.

Press the TXT button.

5.7 Timer
You can set 32 timer events. It will record or play the program automatically

Go to Menu->System Setting->Timer Adjust->Event Timer.

Press the GREEN button to setup a timer, and press the OK button to

save the timer after setup.

STB Off: Set ON, the receiver will go to standby mode after the timer, set OFF
it wont be standby.

In Event Timer menu, highlight one event, press the RED button will

cancel this timer and press the YELLOW button can go to edit this timer.

5.8 Sleep
You can set the automatic turn off time.

Go to Menu->System Setting->Timer Adjust->Sleep Timer or press the

SLEEP button directly.

Press the / button to select the option or input the number at -- Min

option.

Press the OK button to save.

5.9 Multi Pictures


You can view multi programmes at one time.

Select the mode you want and press the OK button to enter multi-picture.

5.10 Programme Information


You can view the programme information by pressing the INFO button while
watching a programme.

1. General Information
: It is a FTA programme.
: It is a scramble programme.
: Current programme has more than one audio language.
: Current programme has EPG information.
: Current programme has teletext information.

: Current programme is a HD programme.

EPG Information

Press the INFO button when the information menu is displayed to view detailed
EPG information, press the / to switch current and next and press the
INFO button once more to hide the detailed EPG information.

6.1 Edit Channels
Menu->Channel Manager->Edit Channels
Edit Channels enables you to delete, rename, move or lock/unlock the
channels in the channel list conveniently.
1. Delete Channels
1)

Highlight the channels

you want to delete.


2)

Press the RED button.

3)

Press the EXIT button,

here, select Yes will delete the


chosen channels.
2. Lock and Unlock Channels
1)

Highlight the channel you want to lock.

2)

Press the GREEN button.

3)

Input the password to lock the channel.

Note:
If the highlighted channel is locked, press the GREEN button is switched into
Unlock.
3. Rename Channels
1)

Highlight the channel you want to rename.

2)

Press the YELLOW button.

3)

Enter a channel name directly using the keyboard displayed on the

screen.
4)

Press the RED button to complete.

4. Move Channels

Highlight the channel you want to move.

Press the OK button to select the channel.

Press the / button or press the NUMERIC(0-9) buttons to the

destination in the channel list and press the OK button.


5. Move Group Channels

Press the BLUE button

Menu->Channel Manager>Edit Favorite
You can add or remove
channels from the favorite
groups.

Highlight the channels you want to add or remove from the favorite

channel list.

button to select the favorite group you like.

6.3 Sort Channels


You can sort the channels list.
Menu->Channel Manager->Sort Channels

Highlight the option you want and press the OK button to sort the channel

list.
Note: The Original Channel List is back to the channel list you sort it last
time.

6.4 Delete Satellite


You can delete all channels of one satellite.
Menu->Channel Manager->Delete Satellite Channels

Highlight the satellite you want to delete.

Press the OK button.

Select Yes will execute it.

6.5 User Channel List


You can save or load the channel list you want.

This chapter will help you manipulate the channel list.

7.1 OK List

Press the OK button to

enter the channel list while


watching a programme.

change the channel list type.

to enter the Edit Favorite

Press the YELLOW button can help you quickly find the channel you

want.

7.2 Favorite List

If you have set several

favorite lists, press the FAV

Press the GREEN button can remove the highlighted channel from the

Note:
If you selected a favorite list, press the / or CH button can only change the
channels in this favorite list and press the OK button can only display the
channels in this favorite list.

V I I I . Preferences
8.1 System Setting
Menu->System Setting>System
1.

Menu Language: Set the

menu language.
2.

Audio1: Set the preferred

audio language.
3.

Audio2: Set the sub-

prime audio language.


4.

Auto Channel Selection: If you set ON, in the channel list when you

highlight the channel, it will play automatically. If you set OFF, in the channel
list when you highlight the channel, you should press the OK button to play it.
5.

Recall List: If you set ON, when you press the RECALL button, it will

display the channel list you watched previous. If you set OFF, when you press
the RECALL button, it will directly back to the channel you watched last time.
6.

Volume pre Channel: If you set ON, you can set different volume for

each channel. If you set OFF, all channels can only have one volume.
7.

Audio Type: If a channel has AC3 and PCM audio language at the same

time, when you select AC3 it will set AC3 audio language as default output and
when you select PCM it will set PCM audio language as default output.
8.

Change Channel Option: If you select Freeze, when you switch

channels, it will display the last frame of the previous channel. If you select
Blank, when you switch channels it will display blank screen.
9.

Multi Pic Loop: While in multi picture mode, if you set ON, it will

broadcast all channels in the channel list.


10. Record Symbol: It set the interval time of the record symbol display while
recording.

8.2 OSD Setting


Menu->System Setting->OSD

OSD Transparency: Set

the transparency of all menus.


2.

TXT Transparency: Set

the transparency of teletext.


3.

Time Out: Set the display

time of the programme


information.
4.

TV System: Set the TV system mode.

5.

HDMI Mode: Set the HDMI output mode.

6.

TV Screen Format: Set the display format according to the screen ratio.

7. Scart Output While the HDMI Mode is set to 576i or 480i mode, you
can change the scart output mode between CVBS and RGB mode.

8.3 Timer Setup


Menu->System Setting->Timer Adjust->Timer Setup
You can setup the system time.

Timer Ahead On: Additional recording time before the recording starts.

2.

Timer Delay off: Additional recording time after the recording ends.

3.

Timer Mode: Set the

system time mode.


4.

Timer Zone: Set the timer

Summer Time: Set the summer time ON or OFF.

Note: The time you set will be shown on the front panel when you set receiver
to standby mode.

8.4 Parental control


Menu->System Setting->Parental Control
Parental Control allows you to set limits for each programme or change your
previous password. You can also lock the changes you have made using
Installation Lock, Edit Channel Lock and System Lock.

8.5 USALS Seutp


Menu->Installation->USALS
Setup
If you set the Motor Mode to
USALS, you need set the
longitude and the latitude in
USALS Setup.

IX. USB Control


You can play many kinds of media files, you can record programme and
playback it and you can do various operations when using USB HDD or USB
disk.
Note: It supports FAT, FAT32, NTFS, Ext2 and Ext3 format USB disk or USB
HDD.

9.1 Play Files

Go to Menu->USB Control->USB Menu or press the USB button directly

to enter the USB menu.

You can play the music files in the PlayList while you browsing the photos.
Note: The music files and the photo files must be in the same folder.

Timeshift allows you to pause a live broadcast and return to it later and
continue where you left off.
Press the || button to start timeshift. While it is in timeshift mode, press the
button can play the programme, press the PAUSE/|| button can pause or play
the programme, press the / button can fast rewind or fast forward,
press the button or the EXIT button to stop timeshift.

9.3 Other Operations


9.3.1 Upload/Download
You can upload or download data or software.

XI. Additional Information


11.1 Trouble Shooting
Before contacting your local service centre, please read the tips below
carefully. If the problem persists after completing the following procedure,
please contact your local product distributor or service centre for further
instructions.
1.

No message displayed on the front display (The product will not

switch on)
Check the main power cable and make sure it is plugged into a suitable
power outlet.
Check that the mains supply is switched on.
Connect the power cable to a different power outlet.
Check that the power switch is on at the rear of the product. (where

2.

No picture

Make sure that the product is powered on and in operation mode. (Press the
STANDBY button)
Make sure that the AV/HDMI cable is firmly connected to the TV.
Make sure that the antenna cable is properly connected to the product.
Be sure to activate channel search.
Check the brightness level of the TV.
Check if the channel is currently on air. Contact the broadcaster to ensure
that the channel is running.
3.

Poor picture/sound quality

Make sure there is no mobile phone or microwave oven near the product.
[Satellite] Check that your dish alignment is correct.
[Satellite] Change the satellite dish for a larger one as this will increase the
signal levels received.
[Satellite] Replace the LNB with a lower noise factor in cases where the noise
factor is too high.
[Satellite] Replace the LNB with a new one in case it is damaged or out of
order.
[Satellite] Check the signal levels and adjust your antenna if the level is too
low. The signal level may be affected by weather conditions.
4.

No or poor sound

Check that your AV/HDMI cable is connected correctly.


Check the volume levels of your TV set and the product.
Check if the product or TV is on mute.
Check audio type or soundtrack option.
5.

Remote control does not operate

To control the product, the top end of the remote control should point directly
towards the receiving part of the product.

Replace the batteries in the remote control for a new set.

Cannot connect network

Make sure the network of your family is good.

Get auto IP again.
