Executive summary
Financial performance analysis of a company is very important to get an overall view about
an organization. It generally consists of interpretation of balance sheet and interpretation of
income statement. By using these two sources, one can perform the ratio analysis in the form
of trend and comparative analysis which are the major tools for analysis the financial
performance of accompany.
The topic of this report is Analysis Financial performance of the Linde Bangladesh limited.
Linde Bangladesh limited is one of the leading Gas manufacturer companies in Bangladesh. It
was highbred position in terms of sales and market share. Linde Bangladesh limited is a large
and completely manufacturing company. So the financial performance analysis and would be
not an easy task. So it has been tried to analyze, interpret and represent the basic concept of
financial performance.
The objectives of this report is analyze the Financial performance of the Linde Bangladesh
limited. The study have been collected information from secondary data sources. Finally, we
give recommendation to concerned company in the light of research findings. Several financial
analysis techniques had been adopted in this paper such as representation of historical data,
reformulation of data, data forecasting and different types of ratios.
The current ratio, Quick ratio and Net-Working capital indicate better liquidity position of the
company. The selling performance of the company indicates better liquidity position of the
company. The selling performance of the company is really appreciated especially for their
faster gradually growing exporting policies from year to year. But some cases like gross profit
and net profit margin show little lower curves that mean there is some inefficient in operation
level of the company which must be reduce for achieving better profit margin ratio. Also return
on assets is not satisfactory which indicates the lower efficiency of managements. Finally the
study suggests that, Linde should try to improve idle current assets to increase the overall
income and should take proper control in marketing and administrative expenses. Also Linde
should take necessary step to maintain Return on Total asset trend. At the end we can conclude
that, the company has strong growth rate in recent years with a strong market reputation. But
still the company should keep keen eyes in management operation to improve the financial
condition.
