Please perform the following action plan related to the Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) 4.0. The RDA is a
collection of scripts that gathers valuable information from an Oracle environment which aids in the
resolution of your Service Request. The RDA output allows us to look at your overall system configuration
and helps us to determine/eliminate possible cause(s) of the issue and to validate possible solution(s). This
will minimize the number of additional questions we may ask of you and will help to shorten the time to
resolution of your Service Request.
Please run the Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) on the instance where you are experiencing the issue and
upload the output file to MetaLink. Remember: You can review the RDA output using a web browser to open
output/RDA__START.htm. Instructions for RDA are available via Metalink:

1. Do you have TEST, DEV, and PRODUCTION environments (if so, mention these as relevant to the
problem)?
[For Example, TEST is working fine with same configuration, but DEV is the focus of the problem]
ANSWER: As answered in the TAR creation questions, this occurs in two test environments PAYNDEV and
PAYNTEST. We can not go live (to production) with a problem like this.
2. What is the platform/OS that the issue is occurring on (sometimes the CSI is not correct)?
[For Example: Windows 2003 SP1 OR SUN SOLARIS 2.9]
ANSWER: As answered in the TAR creation questions, hp-ux pa_risc (64-BIT) 11i
3. What cdpack was this installation installed from OR OTN download?
[For Example: 9i Application Server OR 10G AS Forms and Reports Services]
ANSWER: Dowonloaded and ran fr_904_hp64_disk1.cpio.gz and fr_904_hp64_disk2.cpio.gz
4. What is the exact 5-part version of the offending reports (with patching history)?
[Do HELP->about.. in GUI modules OR run installer to see installed versions etc.]
ANSWER: 9.0.4.0.33 with no patches.
5. What databases are utilized with Reports and what platform/OS/DB versions are installed?
[9.2.0.5 Database installed on 9i Application Server, remote 10.1.2 Database on Solaris Database Server]

6. How many Reports/Developer installs do you have and what are the other versions and platforms (for
comparison or potential control testing)?

7. What is being executed (exact syntax and method) at the time this problem occurs (include step-by-step
scenario)?

desname=DC_SPLASER_05 copies=2 (and it dose not matter what report is used)
8. Are you using with Reports -> SingleSignOn, Reports Admin Security, Report Portlets, Report JSPs,
Report Clustering?
[For Example: Report security is not being used nor Portal, but Clustering is used with members on 3
servers]

9. How does this issue related to the Applications product -- there is a note about APPS from the last analyst?
ANSWER: I have no idea what this question means or what it is trying to get at.
