A. No part of the net earnings of the Association sh~ll

For

The Friends of the Harrison Memorial Library was formed


as an association in April 1971 and has existed ever since .
. The purposes of the organization are:
a- to raise money that can be given to the Harrison
Memorial Library to supplement the funds provided by the City
of Carmel for the operatioh of the Library, which is the
city's public library.
b- to encourage public support of the Harrison Memorial
Library.
c- to enhance the Library's ielations with the public.

Activity the Organization Has Engaged In.
The Friends of the Harrison Memorial Library engage in
the following fund raising activities:
a- conduct one or more book sales annually, consisting of
books donated by members of the Friends and others for this
purpose.
b- urge members of the Friends to renew their memberships
annually and encourage other members of the public to joins
the Friends and pay dues.
c- sell to the public stationary showing pictures of the
Library.
Each year, the Friends contribute to the Harrison
Memorial Library substantially all of its assets withholding
only sufjicient funds to allow the Friends to operate. The
funds thus contributed are used by the Library to augment the
services that the Library offers to the public.
