Case Analysis: Saint Lucien Academy
I.

Time context:
Bro Zeld Sorenson, the Rector and Chief Administrative Officer of Saint Lucien
Academy, reported at his office on April 11, 1998.

II.

III.

Point of view:
Rules for consideration should be strictly implemented and followed by the
employees for equality and fairness.
Statement of the problem:
Rules being violated in requesting for Salary advanced loans.

IV.

Areas of Consideration/ (Case Facts):

Saint Lucien Academy employed over 200 people in both teaching and non

V.

teaching positions.
Saint Lucien Academy has problems regarding with the school faculty and

instruction.
Alternative courses of actions:
Distributing the load of works to various positions is a smart tactics, because
every personnel to be assigned can have the opportunity to priorities their

assignment.
Bro Zeld focused his implementation of action through the rules that were
long-known by the employees. This action implied that he is not actually

changing the system, rather improving it.

The action performed by Mr. Fajardo is not justifiable. He has a point with
regards to the employees need for plan, but still, the situation cant be
considered as bona fide, it is not genuine as per rules requirements. Being
with the company for 10 years should not also become consideration for Mr.
Fajardo. Business is business, professionalism should be present.

VI.

Recommendation:
Bro Zeld should consider conducting professional gatherings to reiterate the rules that
are present in the school, especially in terms of advance loan salary. Clearly, the

manager showed unprofessionalism considering the employees length of service in

the school to get the loan for his house-building.
