POWERSWITCH
O powenswrrcH
Depressthis switch to turn power on to the SG-300.Becausethis switch is connectedto the secondarywinding of
the power transformer, power is still suppliedto the primary winding even when the power switch is returnedto
the STAND-BY ( r ) position.Alwaysunplugthe power
cord from the wall socketwhen the SG-300is not going
to be usedfor a longtime.
@ OCTAVE CONTROLS
Move thesecontrolsaboveor below the center {zero)position to boost or attenuate the correspondingfrequency
bandsby up to !1OdB as shown in the figurebelow. The
seven frequency bands are centered at 60H2, 15OHz,
4OOHz,IkHz,2.4kHz, 6kHz and 15kHz.
@ EOUALIZERON/OFF SWITCH
Depressthis switch to activatethe equalizercircuit and
octavecontrols.The indicatorson the octavecontrolswill
light to show they can be used.ln the OFF position, the
equalizercircuit is bypassed.

Whenthis switch is depressed,

monitoringit at the sametime. In the OFF position, the
signalgoesto the tape deck in its original(unequalized)
state so you can recordthe unalteredsignalwhile listening
to the equalizedsignal (if the EOUALIZER ON/OFF

NOTE:
When recording an equalized signal, be surc the equalizer switch
is in the ON position (the octave band indicators are lit).
@ TAPEoN/oFF SWITcH
Depressthis switch when listeningto the tape deck connectedto the rear panelTAPE terminals. In the ON position, only the signalfrom the TAPE PLAY terminalsenters the equalizer.ln the OFF position, only the signal

NOTE:
when theEoIJALtzEB ON/OFFswitch@ , EOUALIZEBREc
ON/OFF switch @ and TAPE ON/OFF switcn @ are atl de'
pressed at the eme time, the equalized signal (from the EOUALIZER INPUT terminals) is sent to the TAPE REC terminals.
However, the signal received through the TAPE PLAY terminals
goes directly to the EAUALIZEB
OUTPUT terminals. Consequently, the tape playback signal can not be equalized even
when the EOUALTZER ON/OFF switch @ is depressed.
