Project Motivation:

Its often difficult for

students to visualize
science and
engineering concepts
because many
processes occur as
abstract ideas.

This causes a
decrease in interest
and comprehension.
Virtual reality (VR) is a
solution because it
provides an interesting
and interactive learning
experience, but it has
been too costly.
With current, affordable
technology, this is now
a viable tool for
students nationwide.

Proposed Solution:
Create an online platform where students in
collaborative, customized virtual worlds learn
the concepts together.

How Does it Work:

Drag and drop 3D worlds allow anyone to
make virtual reality content easily.
The program is an app on a smartphone
that integrates with Google Cardboard or
Samsung GearVR.
Users see an arrow representing other
people in room and what they are
interacting with.

Outcomes:
An easy-to-use
online application
interface to create
virtual reality
educational content
and smartphone app
to experience it.
Lessons Learned:
How to model,
construct, and
publish virtual
reality content.
The best people to
create educational
content are the
educators
themselves.
